CULTIVATION DEVICE, CULTIVATION SYSTEM, AND CULTIVATION METHOD
On the basis of monitoring information acquired by a monitoring device (4), a control device (6) determines a capacity and a position of a net (3), a winding device (2) adjusts the capacity of the net (3) to the capacity determined by the control device (6), and an underwater moving device (5) moves the net (3) to the position determined by the control device (6).
FISHING DEVICES AND METHODS
A fishing device includes a net disposed in a body of water containing fishes. A plurality of posts, wherein each post further includes a stem, a bottom cross disposed at a lower portion of the stem; a cross bar disposed at a top end of the stem; and a cord. The stem is an upright elongated protrusion extending from under a bottom to above a surface of the body of water. The cord is slidably secured to the cross bar. A first end of the cord is secured to a weight. A second end of the cord is secured to the net. The fishing device includes a release mechanism. The release mechanism grabs a portion of the cord to hold the weight in a first position adjacent to the cross bar. A bait system is disposed at or adjacent to a center of the net.

Netting conduit
A netting conduit. The conduit defines a continuous channel extending between a first open end and a second open end. The conduit is fabricated from netting having a mesh size sufficient to prevent most fish from traversing through the netting material. The conduit tapers from the first open end to a midsection and enlarges from the midsection to the second open end. The longitudinal edges of the conduit can define a parabolic shape. The conduit further includes stakes that are usable to anchor the conduit to the bed of the waterway in which the conduit is in use.

ROPE FOR TRAWL NETS WITH HIGH-STRENGTH EYE-SPLICE
A rope for trawl nets having a high-strength eye-splice comprises an eye portion made of an HMPE material and tied round the end of the rope; a first fixing member preventing the eye portion from unraveling; an HMPE splice portion formed in a splice manner and having an outside and an inside that comprise HMPE, respectively; an HMPE sheathed strand portion in which a basic rope is interpolated inside, and strands of an HMPE material are woven in a blade manner on the outside of the basic rope; a second fixing member located at the end of the HMPE sheathed strand portion and capable of fixing the HMPE sheathed strand portion so that it does not come loose; and a basic rope portion comprising a general PE material.
Aquaculture net cleaner track belt
A drive system for a net cleaner to produce efficient propulsion without damage to the cage net. The drive system includes flexible engagement stumps protruding from a base of a driving belt with tips or studs mounted on an end of the stumps. The tips or studs engage the net and propel the net cleaner. The stumps flex to insure that. if excessive pressure is applied to a stud, the stump will bend and the net will release without damage. A guard prevents the stump from directly engaging a cage net. A track belt produces efficient propulsion without damage to the cage net. The track belt includes flexible engagement stumps protruding from a base of a driving belt with tips or studs mounted on an end of the stumps.
Detection of derelict fishing gear
The location of lost or entangled fishing gear, known as derelict gear, is detected. The motion or change of position of a buoy attached to fishing gear is determined via sensors mounted on the buoy and compared to typical buoy motion. If the buoy has moved beyond a threshold value from its original location, an alert is sent to the fisherman. The available sensor data will be used to determine the likelihood of loss or entanglement. This alert facilitates recovery of lost or entangled gear by identifying where immediate retrieval efforts should be focused. The number of traps lost to the ocean that otherwise would continue to trap or entangle marine life may be reduced.
