Foreign object damage elimination system
An assembly configured to prevent damage to an object during manufacture thereof is provided including a first housing having a substantially hollow interior. An exposed first planar surface of the first housing includes an inlet port and a plurality of small openings formed about the periphery. The inlet port, the hollow interior, and the plurality of small openings form a fluid flow path through the assembly. A second housing similar in size and shape to the first housing, has an exposed second planar surface. An intermediate layer is arranged between the first housing and the second housing. A cross-section of the intermediate layer is configured to change shape in response to a compression force applied thereto by the first housing and the second housing to form a seal separating an exterior portion of the object exposed to the plurality of small openings from an interior surface of the object.
Shot-processing device
A shot-processing device is provided, and by it they are effectively reused and prevented from being taken out of a cabinet and from scattering. A structure (40) for a flow path that connects the inside of the cabinet (12) and a suction port (70A) of a dust collector (70) includes a part of a route for circulation of a circulating machine (32) and a second flow path (40Y) that connects a chamber for blowing air and the suction port (70A). In the structure for the flow path a classifying part (35) is provided. It includes a first cyclone (36) that classifies particulate objects that include shots as shots that have a diameter that makes them reusable and as the other particulate objects and includes a part of the first flow path (40X), and a second cyclone (44) that includes a part of the second flow path.
Beam tool pathing for 3D compound contours using machining path surfaces to maintain a single solid representation of objects
Computer based methods, systems, and techniques for planning and generating machining paths for a tool that manufactures a three dimensional object having beveled or compound contours from a workpiece. A computer aided design (CAD)/computer aided manufacturing (CAM) system creates intermediate machining path surfaces that extend based on a CAD solid model representing the geometry of the object to be manufactured. The intermediate machining path surfaces extend to a shape that simulates a cutting beam (e.g., a waterjet, a laser beam, etc.) of the tool. For a flat workpiece, the machining path surfaces may extend from a top surface of the workpiece, which is a tool beam entrance surface, to a bottom surface of the workpiece, which is a tool beam exit surface. An operator is able to visualize the cuts to be made and the actual finished object geometry, without requiring the creation of multiple CAD solid models.

FLUID JET CUTTING DEVICE
A fluid jet cutting device for sectioning materials is provided. The device includes a compact and portable body having an equipment chamber accessible through a first panel, a working chamber accessible through a second panel and a receptacle in communication with the working chamber. A pump assembly and motor are removably positioned on a base in the equipment chamber. A guide assembly is positioned in the working chamber and a cutting head having a nozzle is movably coupled to the guide assembly for movement along three axes. A drive assembly moves the cutting head along the guide assembly. A clamp for holding a work piece includes a first face and a second face movable relative to the first face so as to secure regular, irregular or complex shaped work pieces. A basket is positioned in the receptacle below the clamp and the device may be controlled by way of a touch screen user interface.

Shot processing device
A hanging section is installed at an upper side of a cabinet, and an autorotation mechanism rotates the hanging section around an axis of the hanging section in upward/downward directions of a device. In addition, a hanger unit hanging from the hanging section is installed in a cabinet, and a pair of frame sections is parallelly installed in series to match opening directions. Then, projection machines project a shot media toward the hanger unit. In addition, a loading/unloading device installed outside the cabinet is configured such that arm constituting a part thereof can be inserted into an opening section of the frame section of the hanger unit, and a tray on which a workpiece is placed can be conveyed. The loading/unloading device loads/unloads the tray with respect to the hanger unit by advancing and retracting the arm.
