The peening apparatus includes a processing tank, a table, a moving unit including a nozzle moving device, a quill, a first head having a mounting hole and disposed at a distal end of the quill, a motor and a first spindle exposed from the mounting hole, a nozzle head portion separable from the moving unit and including a second head having a connection port connected to the mounting hole, a connecting shaft connected to the first spindle, a second spindle, a nozzle disposed below the second spindle, a nozzle flow path penetrating inside the second spindle and connected to the nozzle to be opened to an upper end of the second spindle, and a swivel joint disposed at an upper end portion of the second spindle and connected to the nozzle flow path.

Shot Peening Apparatus

A shot peening apparatus capable of precisely controlling the amount of shots supplied projects, by a shot impeller, shots onto a workpiece, and has a bucket elevator which conveys the shots to a predetermined height, a motor which drives the bucket elevator, and a control device which controls the current value of the motor. The control device issues an alert when the current value of the motor becomes lower than a predetermined current value.

Grit Suppression Ball Valve Assembly for Blast Pot
20230127603 · 2023-04-27 ·

A ball valve with a typical pop-up head has a central vertical threaded insert for receiving a stem. A grit suppression sleeve is placed on the stem concentric with the stem. The grit suppression sleeve is generally a spool with a center hole fitting on the stem. The inside diameter of the stem is larger than the outside diameter of the suppression sleeve, permitting the sleeve to move freely on the stem and providing a controlled air way that will not carry grit, suppressing the grit that previously was exhausted through the main ball valve exit port.

Powder chamber and station for a powder chamber

A powder chamber, in particular for powder polishing devices, including a casing and two functional sectors, whereby the two functional sectors are arranged to be opposite to each other, and whereby at least one functional sector is designed to provide an opening for a working medium such as air or a mixture of powder and air, and whereby the two functional sectors are designed to allow the powder chamber to be locked. The two functional sectors are preferably arranged along an axis and are rotationally symmetric.

Adjustable abrasive and dust separator

Provided is a centrifuge media separator for separating blast particulate from fine particulate carried by air flowing from a blast cabinet and through the media separator. The centrifuge media separator comprises an upper panel, a lower panel, and an outer wall. The upper panel has a central opening formed therein. The outer wall is configured in a truncated logarithmic shape and which extends between the upper and lower panels. The outer wall has at least one particulate escape aperture formed therein. The upper panel, lower panel and outer wall collectively define a curvilinear air passageway having an inlet and an outlet. An air foil extends from the outer wall in to the air passageway. The distance than the air foil extends in to the air passageway is adjustable. The inlet is configured to allow a flow of air to enter the air passageway and circulate therethrough toward the outlet. The escape aperture is configured to exhaust the blast particulate out of the passageway. The central opening is configured to exhaust the fine particulate out of the passageway.

Systems for managing abrasive media in cavitated fluid
11633835 · 2023-04-25 · ·

Systems for managing abrasive media in cavitated fluid include a set of sensors in communication with cavitated fluid in a processing tank and a processor coupled to the set of sensors. The processor is configured to determine a density of an abrasive media in the cavitated fluid in the processing tank and facilitate maintaining the density of abrasive media in the cavitated fluid in the processing tank at a level that is greater than or equal to a threshold level of abrasive media. The processor is further configured to command the abrasive media addition device to add the recycled abrasive media to the processing tank to increase the density of abrasive media in the cavitated fluid in response to determining that an average density of abrasive media is less than the threshold density of abrasive media.

METERING VALVE FOR ABRASIVE MEDIA

A metering valve for introducing media into a pressurized fluid includes media passaging having a media inlet for receiving media and a media outlet for dispensing media toward the pressurized fluid. The media passaging defines a flow path extending from the media inlet to the media outlet and is configured to permit flow of media along the flow path. A plunger, including a plunger head, is movable between a closed position in which the plunger head forms a seal to prevent flow of media through the media passaging and an open position in which the plunger head permits flow of media through the media passaging. The seal formed by the plunger head includes a first sealing interface and a second sealing interface downstream along the flow path of the first sealing interface.

Abrasive heads with inserted jet

An abrasive head with inserted jet for cleaning/removing material surfaces and splitting/cutting materials by a liquid beam enriched with solid abrasive particles to extend the tool lifetime by eliminating damage to the liquid jet's aperture by the abrasive, avoid degrading the abrasive inside the tool and increase the cutting power and flow efficiency.

FAST ACQUISITION CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SHOT PEENING VALVES
20230158638 · 2023-05-25 ·

A method for regulating the flow of media that provides a valve having a first pole piece and a second pole piece that are separated by a working gap through which media may flow. The pole pieces direct a first magnetic field through the working gap. A coil generates a second magnetic field when electrical current is passed through the coil and that second magnetic field is capable of opposing the first magnetic field. The current in the coil is set at a first level that corresponds to a desired low rate of media through the working gap. The actual flow rate that results from the first duty cycle of current in the coil is compared to a desired flow rate and the current can be adjusted if the actual flow rate is different than the desired flow rate.
