A data analysis system according to the present invention includes: a training data acquisition unit that acquires a combination of training data including information about a medicinal drug and a plurality of pieces of classification information for classifying the training data on the basis of a plurality of classification standards; a learning unit that learns a pattern of the information about the medicinal drug from distribution of data elements which constitute at least part of the training data and appear according to the classification information; an unknown data acquisition unit that acquires unknown data from a specified information source; a data evaluation unit that evaluates the acquired unknown data on the basis of the learned pattern with respect to each of the plurality of classification standards; and a presentation unit that presents the information about the medicinal drug included in the unknown data to a user according to evaluation by the data evaluation unit.

SMART MEDICATION CONTAINER
20180008516 · 2018-01-11 ·

Various embodiments relate to systems and methods for monitoring adherence to a medication regimen through the use of a smart medication container. The container can include an electronic display that presents relevant information, such as dosage and/or medication information, instructions, user information, messages, notifications, and device information (e.g., battery status, network connectivity status). A pair of conductive elements positioned on either side of the container's opening can be configured to continually measure capacitance in order to identify when contents (e.g., pills) leave the container. More than one pair of conductive elements may be used to improve accuracy and reduce the effects of noise. A processor is able to analyze the capacitance data and determine whether medication has been dispensed from the container and, if so, how much medication was dispensed. A computer system can then compare the results to a planned medication regimen to determine a state of compliance.

REVERSE SHOULDER PRE-OPERATIVE PLANNING

A method of pre-operatively developing a reverse shoulder arthroplasty plan can include receiving an image of a patient shoulder comprising a humerus and a glenoid. The image can be segmented to develop a 3D shoulder model. Virtual surgery can be performed on the 3D shoulder model to generate a modified shoulder model. The virtual surgery can include resecting and reaming a virtual humerus of the 3D shoulder model, and reaming a virtual glenoid of the 3D shoulder model. Selection of a humeral implant and selection of a glenoid implant can be received. A virtual representation of the humeral implant can be implanted on the virtual humerus and a virtual representation of the glenoid implant on the virtual glenoid to virtually update the modified shoulder model. A range of motion of the patient shoulder can be determined and a reverse shoulder arthroplasty can be finalized based on the range of motion.

DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF ECTOPIC CUSHING'S SYNDROME
20180011113 · 2018-01-11 ·

Improved methods and systems for diagnosing and for treating Cushing's syndrome and Cushing's Disease are provided herein, including methods and systems for concurrently treating Cushing's syndrome and differentially diagnosing Cushing's Disease from Ectopic Cushing's Syndrome in a patient with an established diagnosis of ACTH-dependent Cushing's syndrome. Treatment methods can use glucocorticoid receptor antagonists (GRAs), which differentially affect the ratio of cortisol to ACTH levels in patients having Cushing's Disease versus patients having Ectopic Cushing's Syndrome. Methods for concurrently treating and differentially diagnosing Cushing's Disease from Ectopic Cushing's Syndrome include obtaining baseline cortisol and ACTH levels of a patient, treating the patient with a GRA according to a protocol that would typically substantially elevate cortisol levels, obtaining post-treatment cortisol and ACTH levels of the patient, determining a differential relationship between baseline cortisol and ACTH levels and post-treatment cortisol and ACTH levels and providing a positive diagnosis based on the differential relationship.

REMOTE PATIENT MONITORING AND MEDICATION DELIVERY SYSTEM
20180008360 · 2018-01-11 ·

The present invention relates to systems and methods for remotely monitoring the health of a patient in a real-time, continuous manner, remotely deliver therapeutic medications to the patient, and facilitating communication between the patient and a remotely located patient care provider.

SYSTEM FOR MENTAL HEALTH CLINICAL APPLICATION
20180011971 · 2018-01-11 ·

A system for mental health clinical application includes a virtual reality (VR) headset, a physiological sensor device and a computer device. The computer device is used to perform an illness test on a user by establishing a virtual 3D environment via the VR headset according to test data provided by the computer device. The computer device receives, from the physiological sensor device, a physiological signal of the user in response to the illness test to analyze an illness condition of the user.

HEALTH DEVICE, GATEWAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SECURING PROTOCOL USING THE SAME

Disclosed herein are a health device, a gateway device, and a method for securing a protocol using the health device and the gateway device. The method includes performing, by the health device and the gateway device, authentication and key exchange based on security session information; sending, by any one of the health device and the gateway device, an application message protected based on the security session information; and receiving, by a remaining one of the health device and the gateway device, the protected application message.

MOTION-DEPENDENT AVERAGING FOR PHYSIOLOGICAL METRIC ESTIMATING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
20180008200 · 2018-01-11 ·

Physiological signal processing systems include a photoplethysmograph (PPG) sensor that is configured to generate a physiological waveform, and an inertial sensor that is configured to generate a motion signal. A physiological metric extractor is configured to extract a physiological metric from the physiological waveform that is generated by the PPG sensor. The physiological metric extractor includes an averager that has an impulse response that is responsive to the strength of the motion signal. Related methods are also described.

METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ACCESS TO MEDICATIONS

The exemplary embodiments herein provide a method for controlling access to medications. The method preferably includes the step of electronically unlocking a lid for a single bin out of a plurality of bins within a delivery module at a first location, to accept a medication into the unlocked bin, where the rest of the bins in the same delivery module remain locked. The method should then engage a mechanical lock on the lid once it has been closed, maintain the bin in a locked state during transport to a second location, and engage a mechanical lock on the delivery module once it has been lowered into a drawer at the second location.

INFRARED DETECTORS AND THERMAL TAGS FOR REAL-TIME ACTIVITY MONITORING

Methods and systems for activity monitoring include capturing an infrared image of an environment that comprises at least one patient being monitored and at least one infrared-emitting tag. A relationship between the patient being monitored and the at least one infrared-emitting tag is determined. An activity conducted by the patient being monitored is determined based on the relationship between the patient being monitored and the at least one infrared-emitting tag. A course of treatment for the patient being monitored is adjusted based on the determined activity.
