Handle for a tool or like implement
An embodiment relates to a tool, including: a handle having an interior cavity therein; a grip on the handle; a rod that is movable with respect to the interior cavity of the handle such that movements of grip are translated into movements of the rod to deploy and retract an end of the rod with respect to an end of the handle; and a tool element attached to the handle. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Ditch forming implement
A ditch forming implement, for use with a working vehicle, has a frame for towing connection to the working vehicle and which supports a rotatable impeller member thereon for spreading soil in a laterally outward direction relative to a forward path of the implement. A driven pulley wheel is fixed to a rear of the impeller member for rotation together relative to the frame. A drive shaft assembly operatively transfers rotational drive from a power take-off of the working vehicle to a driven pulley wheel on the frame, to be subsequently transferred to the driven pulley wheel by a drive belt connected between the driven and drive pulley wheels.

Real-time surgical reference guides and methods for surgical applications
Apparatus and methods are described which guide a surgeon in performing a reconstructive or cosmetic procedure. The apparatus and methods utilize three dimensional presentations of the target surgical site incorporating one or more virtual surgical guides which help attain proper alignment and orientation of the post surgical outcome.
System and method for key function switching
Personal computer (PC) and online gaming are gaining popularity around the world. Typically players use PC input devices such as keyboards and mice for playing PC games. Many of the modern PC games use a control scheme commonly known as the WASD/Mouse, which is a combination of the WASD keys of the keyboard and the mouse as means for interacting with the PC games. Additionally, to further expand on game control functions, modifier keys are used in conjunction with other keyboard keys to serve as shortcut keys for activating such game control functions. However, due to the non-ergonomic positioning of the shortcut keys, players often suffer from wrist discomfort after PC game playing sessions due to increased strain placed on their wrists when using the shortcut keys frequently. An embodiment of the invention describes a system and method for switching processes selectable by keys on human interface devices.
Work vehicle and abnormality notification method for work vehicle
A work vehicle includes travelling work state detection sensors to detect a travelling work state of the work vehicle to output detected signals indicating the traveling work state. Circuitry is configured to determine that an early abnormality occurs when the detected signals satisfy a first condition, the work vehicle being in an early stage of trouble in travelling due to the early abnormality. The circuitry is configured to determine that an actual abnormality occurs when the detected signals satisfy a second condition which has a second threshold severer than a first threshold of the first condition, the work vehicle being in trouble in travelling due to the actual abnormality. The circuitry is configured to provides notifications of the early abnormality and the actual abnormality toward an outside of the work vehicle when it is determined that the early abnormality and the actual abnormality occurs, respectively.
DIGGING GLOVE
A digging glove may include a glove and a digging claw member secured to at least one finger of the glove. The digging claw member may include a claw body and at least one claw tip profile extending from the claw body. The at least one claw tip profile may include an inner profile defining a main chamber, and an isolation chamber. The inner profile includes an extension member extending inwardly within the claw body separating the main chamber from the isolation chamber. The isolation chamber may extend at least within an inner portion of the at least one claw tip profile.

Diagnostic brain imaging
A radiological imaging apparatus (10) acquires a radiological brain image of a subject after administration of a radio tracer binding to a target substance indicative of a clinical pathology. In one embodiment, the clinical pathology is amyloid deposits in the brain at a level correlative with Alzheimer's disease and the target substance is amyloid deposits. A processor (C) tests for the clinical pathology by: performing non-rigid registration of the brain image with a positive template (32P) indicative of having the clinical pathology and with a negative template (32N) indicative of not having the clinical pathology; generating positive and negative result metrics (36P, 36N) quantifying closeness of the registration with the positive and negative template respectively; and generating a test result (54) based on the positive result metric and the negative result metric. An independent test result is generated by quantifying a second mode of an intensity histogram for the brain image.
Ion processing device, ion chromatograph provided with the ion processing device, and eluent generator provided with the ion processing device
An ion processing device includes, on the side of an anion exchange layer of a bipolar membrane which is formed by stacking an anion exchange layer and a cation exchange layer, an anion-side channel which is filled with an anion exchanger, and an anion removal channel provided via an anion exchange membrane, and also includes an anode for moving anions from the anion-side channel to the anion removal channel through the anion exchange membrane. Further, a cation-side channel which is filled with a cation exchanger and a cation removal channel provided via a cation exchange membrane are included on the side of the cation exchange layer of the bipolar membrane as well as a cathode for moving cations from the cation-side channel to the cation removal channel through the cation exchange membrane.
