11186747 · 2021-11-30 · ·

An asphalt shingle coating system that includes a coater, a mixer, a viscosity gauge, a wax supply, a wax pump and a control system. The coater applies a layer of a coating asphalt mixture on an asphalt shingle substrate. The mixer mixes the coating asphalt mixture and is positioned upstream of the coater. The viscosity gauge may be positioned between the coater and the mixer, and it measures the viscosity of said coating asphalt mixture before it is delivered to the coater. The wax supply is in fluid communication with the mixer and a wax pump may deliver a volume of wax from the wax supply to the mixer, and the control system may selectively adjust the operation of the wax pump to substantially maintain a desired viscosity of said coating asphalt mixture.

A mixer assembly with a static mixing element arranged within a mixing channel. The mixer assembly has an inlet end, for receiving components of a substance and a dispensing end for dispensing a mixture from the components. The inlet end comprises for each component an inlet and an associated non-return valve. Each of the inlets is connectable for fluid communication with the mixing channel via the associated non-return valve.

Dust control systems for discharge of bulk material

Controlling the dust emissions from the discharge of bulk materials from a container provides many benefits. A support structure may include a plurality of outlets or chutes for discharging the bulk material. A dust control damper coupled to the outlets not currently in use for the discharge of bulk material may prevent dust from escaping into the surrounding air. The dust control dampers may automatically transition between a closed position and an open position. A flexibly collapsible shroud may also be coupled to a discharge gate of a container. The shroud may expand to seal against the outlet when bulk material is discharge. A vacuum system at or near an outlet may reclaim any dust that escapes during discharge of the bulk material.

Agitation/defoaming apparatus and method and rotary motion transmission device

An agitation/defoaming device is provided, which can independently control revolving and rotational motion and can change a rotational direction relative to a revolving direction without a two-system rotary drive. The apparatus includes a rotary driving source, a braking device for rotary motions; first and second rotors revolved around revolving shaft, and first and second rotational bodies and container holders pivotally supported by the first rotor. A braking force is applied to the second rotor revolving along with the first rotor, generating a rotational motion, which is transmitted to either the first or second rotational body according to the revolving direction of the first rotor. The rotational motion is then transmitted from the first or second rotational body to the container holder through the first rotational body, thereby transmitting to the object the rotational motion according to the revolving direction while revolving the object.

Method for mixing heat-dissipating material

A method for mixing a heat-dissipating material, is provided. The method for mixing a heat-dissipating material includes determining a capacity (V) of the static mixer based on an injection amount (Q) per process unit time, a process unit time (td) and a time (t2) during which the viscosity of the heat-dissipating material flowing out of the static mixer becomes twice of the initial mixing viscosity, where when the heat-dissipating material is sequentially injected into first and second external devices using the static mixer, the process unit time is the difference between a first time point on which the heat-dissipating material starts to be injected into the second external device and a second time point on which the heat-dissipating material starts to be injected into the first external device.

Control system for a livestock feed mixer

A control system for mixing materials for livestock feed including a container that receives the materials, agitators that mix the materials in the container, a driveline that drives the agitators at an output speed with an output torque, a power source that provides an input speed at an input torque, a continuously variable transmission that connects the driveline and the power source and having a hydrostatic loop to provide a speed ratio between the input speed and the output speed, a plurality of sensors positioned between the power source and the agitators that provides mixing signals commensurate to mixing parameters, and an electronic control unit configured to receive the mixing signals, extract mixing parameter values from the mixing signals, and actuate the continuously variable transmission and adjust the speed ratio based on the mixing parameter values to enhance efficiency of the mixing of the materials.
