A feed mixer apparatus that includes a mixing chamber for receiving feed material, and having a mixing element situated therein for mixing the feed material; a transmission having a plurality of gears and connected with a mixing element; a control unit having a display and a plurality of control panel inputs, wherein the control unit is in at least indirect communication with the transmission and the sensors, and wherein the control unit receives a plurality of outputs from one or more of the transmission and sensors, and based at least in part on the plurality of outputs, provides an output command to effectuate a gear change in the transmission, and wherein the control unit includes a processor, a memory, and a control program.

The invention provides a mixing apparatus. The mixing apparatus includes a first container, wherein the first container comprises: a first port; and a mixing chamber. The mixing apparatus further includes a second container, wherein the second container is adapted to receive the first container, and a seal disposed between the first container and the second container. In addition, the mixing apparatus includes a channel between the first port and the mixing chamber, wherein the channel is defined by the seal and the first container. In some examples, the seal includes: a first seal portion; and a transition seal portion, the transition portion comprising: a seal split; and an air intake channel.
Systems, Methods, and Apparatus for Utilizing a Resuspension Tank
Systems, methods and apparatus for Shear TUrbulence Resuspension Mesocosm (STURM) tanks, with high instantaneous bottom shear stress and realistic water column mixing. The tanks can be programmed to produce tidal or episodic sediment resuspension for extended time periods, over muddy sediments with a variety of infaunal benthic organisms. A resuspension paddle produces substantially uniform bottom shear stress across the sediment surface while gently mixing a 1 m deep overlying water column. The STURM tanks can be programmed to different magnitudes, frequencies, and durations of bottom shear stress and thus resuspension with proportional water column turbulence levels over a wide range of mixing settings for benthic-pelagic coupling experiments.

A mixing vessel for accommodating components to be mixed has a container with at least one mounting depression in a side wall of the container. The mounting depression is adapted so that a mixing impeller housing of a mixing impeller is at least partly insertable, in which at least one magnet is housed for being magnetically connectable to a drive device to be driven. A locking assembly is attachable to the mounting depression from outside for locking the mixing impeller in a storage position, in which the mixing impeller is not rotatable. The locking assembly has a magnetically active element that is adapted to interact with the magnet of the mixing impeller.
Mixing of fluids
A micro-reactor system for contacting fluids is described. The system comprises a first microfluidic channel structure for guiding a first fluid to at least one output nozzle thus generating a first sub-flow, a second microfluidic channel structure for guiding a second fluid to at least a second output nozzle thus generating a second sub-flow, said first output nozzle being aligned with said second output nozzle and arranged for contacting the first sub-flow and the second sub-flow. The micro-reactor comprises at least a third microfluidic channel structure for at least a third, inert, fluid generating at least a third sub-flow arranged to be positioned adjacent at least the first and/or the second sub-flows so as to act as a wall between said first and/or second sub-flows.
