Pen vice
A pen vice includes a base, an operating device mounted onto the base and multiple studs vertically secured on the base, wherein the studs correspond to two opposite sides of the base. Two parallel link mechanisms respectively mounted onto the studs that correspond to the two opposite sides of the base. A first sliding jaw and a second sliding jaw is disposed between the two parallel link mechanisms. The two parallel link mechanisms drive the first sliding jaw and the second sliding jaw to clamp or release a pen shank.
Release Mechanism For Clamping Tools
The present invention provides an improved release mechanism for clamping tools where problems of thread slipping due to worn out thread can be reduced by the structure of a plunger with a small diameter section and the engagement of the thread shaft is made more secure by the cam action on account of the shape of the plunger. A protrusion extends from a push button on a top portion of the half-threaded nut. Threads are formed on an upper portion of the hole for engaging the threaded shaft. The middle portion of the plunger is made to have a section of small diameter allowing the protrusion to be pushed downward in a normal position and allowing the protrusion to rely on the resilient power of the helical spring to push it upward into the small diameter section.
Tool and method of installing a bulkhead within a structure
A tool for use in installing a bulkhead within a structure is provided. The tool includes a base member configured to couple to the structure, and a positioning member configured to couple to the bulkhead. The base member includes a primary fastener hole sized to receive at least a portion of a fastener therethrough, and sized such that the fastener is configured to bias against the base member to retract the positioning member towards the base member when the fastener is engaged with the positioning member.
Bar clamp with workpiece stabilization
Provided is a clamp that includes a rail with a track region, a first clamping jaw that is to be maintained at a first clamping location along the rail while a plurality of edge-aligned objects are clamped together. A second clamping jaw is adjustable along the track region of the rail and is to be maintained at a second clamping location along the rail on an opposite side of the plurality of edge-aligned objects from the first clamping jaw. A clamping mechanism urges a face of the second clamping jaw toward the first clamping jaw to impart a compressive force on the plurality of edge-aligned objects. A caul extends between the first and second clamping jaws and exerts a compressive force on the plurality of edge-aligned objects disposed between the caul and the rail.
Guide for cutting paving slabs
A guide for cutting paving slabs comprises: a guide member (1) for guiding a cutting tool; a clamping means (5, 6); and a locator (3). The clamping means comprises a spindle (5) which passes through an opening in the guide member and connects to the locator. The clamping means is adjustable to adjust the position of the spindle relative to the guide member thereby to adjust the distance between the locator and the guide member.
Valve box lifter
A gripping mechanism extends from a clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism includes a fixed handle, a pivotally connected movable handle, a releasable locking mechanism, and the upper section of two opposing L-shaped arms. The lower section of each arm extends from the clamping mechanism to connect to a pair of lugs to form the gripping mechanism. Each lug includes an elongated member and a gripping surface for gripping a valve box cover lid. The gripping mechanism is manipulated to pivot the arms and move the gripping surfaces into place to grip the valve box cover lid. Once the gripping surfaces grip the lid, the arms are locked into a fixed position relative to one another to facilitate the separation of the cover, the lifting of the cover, and the transportation of the cover from the valve box.
Single-cylinder single-claw double-card punching machine
A single-cylinder single-claw double-card punching machine, including an air cylinder; the working end face of the air cylinder is connected to a connecting frame; a gantry moving frame is disposed in the middle of the lower part of the connecting frame in an interleaved manner; a piston rob of the air cylinder passes through the connecting frame to connect with the gantry moving frame; both sides of the connecting frame are provided with snap action moving device; a retaining clamp and a folding clamp are disposed at the bottom of the connecting frame; and a card-pushing sheet and a cutter are disposed under the gantry moving frame. The card punching speed of the single-cylinder single-claw double-card pneumatic punching machine is as high as 166 times per minute, with high efficiency and energy savings.
Apparatus to facilitate the commencement and execution of off-loom bead weaving stitches and method(s) of using same
An apparatus that facilitates commencement and execution off-loom bead weaving stitches such as, but not limited to, odd/even count Peyote (Gourd), Two (or more) Drop Peyote, Herringbone (Ndebele), Brick (Comanche/Cheyenne), Right Angle Weave, Netting, and derivative stitches. The apparatus in all embodiments provides means to temporarily secure beads by use of one or more of the following: a nonflexible or flexible filament-with or without aid of a sewing needle, friction, clasping with means to engage and disengage or a releasable adhesive in a format that enables the user to have improved sightline and access to the beads, improved control of bead placement resulting in a reduction of color placement and stitch execution errors, and allows the completed or in progress beadwork to be removed from the apparatus intact. The apparatus may be formatted for bead size and configured or combined to accommodate the width of the desired beadwork.
Tool for alignment of seal segments
An alignment tool includes a mounting flange, a support leg fixedly coupled to the mounting flange and cooperating with the mounting flange to define a partial annular ring that extends in an arc between 190 degrees and 350 degrees, and a second quantity of jack bolt pairs movably coupled to the support leg, each jack bolt pair arranged to engage one of the first quantity of seal segments. A third quantity of mounting fasteners is positioned to fixedly attach the mounting flange to the inner casing.
Offset vise tool
A vise tool with an offset shaft assembly. The vise tool allows for the turning of hard-to-reach bolts and other items, using a traditional vise grip handle. The handle has a socket having two partsan inner part which turns an inner shaft and an outer part which turns an outer shaft. The handle, rather than adjusting two jaws, adjusts the position of the inner part and outer part of the sockets. Jaws are located in the same plane as the handle, but offset by the length of the offset shaft. The vise tool locks in place due to an over-center arrangement with a spring, as with standard vise grips. Various lengths of shafts and types of jaws may be used.
