Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to a case for a communication device, having two or more portions movable with respect to each other. A first case portion may cover a particular component or area of the communication device. Accessories or auxiliary structures may be available for use with the particular component, and may be configured to attach to or be used with a communication device housing of a particular size or shape. The first case portion may be moved relative to a second case portion, thereby exposing the component or area of the communication device for use with the accessory. Additional embodiments disclosed herein related to modular components that may be used with cases in order to provide various accessories and features, such as mounts, flashes, batteries, and the like.

Package for accommodating products

A package for accommodating products comprises a first portion hingedly connected to a first side of a rear panel, a second portion hingedly connected to a second side of the rear panel, the second side being opposite to the first side. At least one of the first and second portion comprises at least one recess adapted to accommodate a product. The first portion, the second portion and the rear panel at least partly form a receptacle adapted for accommodating said at least one recess. The first portion and the second portion are movable between an open state of the package in which the at least one recess is accessible to a user and a closed state of the package in which the at least one recess is inaccessible to a user.

What is disclosed is a container for transporting and storing goods, having a floor and side walls extending from the floor. In accordance with the invention, at least one of the side walls or a part thereof is formed by a grid-like structure which is extensible and compressible or able to be pulled apart and squeezed together at least in one direction and within the side wall plane so as to demarcate or to close the container toward the side in a first position and to release the container toward the side in a second position.

Tamper-evident brace for juncture of case pieces

A brace can be installed over a juncture between releasably joined case pieces. The brace includes a first tab and a second tab interconnected by a transition portion. The tabs are arranged to deform or break apart from one another along the transition portion in response to relative rotation between the case pieces. The deformation or breakage along the transition portion provides a tamper-evident indication of the case having been opened by rotation for access to the interior of the case since the brace was installed on the case.

CHILD RESISTANT AND AIRTIGHT CONTAINER

Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.

Thinned metal can end

A thinned metal can end having a non-uniform thickness profile is provided. The can end has a central panel having at least a first thickness, a middle portion having at least a second thickness greater than the first thickness, and an end portion having at least a third thickness greater than the first and second thicknesses. The can end is configured to be joined to a can wall by a double seam.

Plastic tank having a welded frusto-conical flange joint

A plastic tank is comprised of two parts, a base and a top, that are permanently joined to each other by welding at a circumferential joint formed by two mating flanges of the parts. The faying surfaces of the flanges of the top and base have portions in the shape of a hollow truncated cone. Fusion weld elements are captured on the faying surfaces of the flanges of the assembled parts, and the elements melted by internal heating of metal portions of the elements.

Corner mounted tip-off tube for vacuum package

Various embodiments of the present disclosure may include a device comprising a vacuum package housing. The vacuum package housing comprises a base and a plurality of walls connected to the base and defining an interior cavity adapted to receive a focal plane array, wherein at least two of the walls meet to define a corner of the vacuum package housing. The vacuum package housing further comprises an aperture formed at the corner, wherein the aperture extends through the at least two of the walls to provide a channel between the interior cavity of the vacuum package and an external environment, and wherein the aperture is adapted to receive a tip-off tube configured to be changed from an open state to a closed state to maintain a vacuum within the interior cavity.
