APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR STRUCTURALLY REPLACING CRACKED WELDS IN NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS
An apparatus configured to structurally replace a cracked weld in a nuclear plant may include: a first body portion that includes a first gripping portion; a second body portion that includes a second gripping portion; a wedge portion between the first and second body portions; and/or an adjustment portion. The first body portion may be configured to slidably engage the second body portion. The wedge portion may be configured to exert force on the slidably engaged first and second body portions. The adjustment portion may be configured to increase or decrease the force exerted by the wedge portion on the slidably engaged first and second body portions. When the adjustment portion increases the force exerted by the wedge portion on the slidably engaged first and second body portions, a distance between the first and second gripping portions may decrease.
LEVELING DEVICE AND EASY-TO-LEVEL DISPLAY SCREEN
The present invention discloses a leveling device for adjusting an installation gap between a first component and a second component. The first component and the second component respectively have a cooperative installation surface, the cooperative installation surface of the first component is provided with at least one leveling device; the leveling device comprises a driving device installed in the cooperative installation surface of the first component and an adjustment head rotatably connected to the driving device, the adjustment head moves upwardly or retracts downwardly relative to the cooperative installation surface of the first component; the driving device drives the adjustment head to protrude outside an installation position thereof and abut with the second component located on an opposite side of the installation position of the adjustment head to adjust the gap between the first and second component. The present invention relates to an easy-to-level display screen using the leveling device.
Substrate holding apparatus
There is disclosed an improved substrate holding apparatus which can minimize deformation of a spring, which is provided to bias a support post for supporting a substrate, even when a large centrifugal force acts on the spring. The substrate holding apparatus includes: a support post movable in an axial direction thereof; a chuck provided on the support post and configured to hold a periphery of a substrate; a spring biasing the support post in the axial direction; a first structure configured to restrict a movement of an upper portion of the spring in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the support post; and a second structure configured to restrict a movement of a lower portion of the spring in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the support post.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING METAL PLATE
A metal plate includes a machining subject surface. The metal plate includes a first holding portion designed to be held by a chuck and a second holding portion located at a position separated from the first holding portion and designed to be held by the chuck. The method for manufacturing the metal plate includes performing reference surface machining that machines a surface of the second holding portion that is to be held by the chuck into a predetermined shape in a state in which the first holding portion is held by the chuck. The method includes releasing the first holding portion from the chuck and holding the second holding portion with the chuck. The method also includes machining the machining subject surface in a state in which the second holding portion is held by the chuck.
Multi-purpose utility clamp
Embodiments of a multi-purpose utility clamp may include a component engagement member having a clamp head and a handle. A guide arm is operatively connected to the component engagement member at a first end of the guide arm. A first post is operatively connected to a second end of the guide arm to move linearly relative to the guide arm. A second post at an end of the support post is disposed generally perpendicular to the first post and has a first end connected to the first post and a second end, distal the first end, and the second end is disposed opposite the clamping head. The second post has a generally trapezoidal cross-sectional shape along a length thereof between the first end and the second end, and the second post is configured to be inserted into a channel having a corresponding trapezoidal shape and formed in an auxiliary component to be clamped to another component.
Socket fusion jig
A socket fusion jig includes a pipe saddle and coupling saddle spaced apart. Rotation of a handle causes the pipe saddle and coupling saddle to move laterally relative to one another so that the pipe held in the pipe saddle may be fused to the coupling held in the coupling saddle.
Clamping device for a golf club head
A clamping device for use with a golf club head. The clamping device may include a base and a holding device which is rotatably coupled to the base. The holding device may include at least first and second engagement portions. Each engagement portion is configured to at least partially accommodate an iron or wedge type golf club head, and prevent such club head from moving along a plane which is defined by the holding device. The clamping device may also include first and second clamp members which are each coupled to the base so as to be alignable with and operative to firmly seat corresponding golf club head within respective ones of the first and second engagement portions of the holding device.
Clamp assembly
An apparatus (100), including: a U-pad body (200) having a bottom (210), a top (212), a front side (214), a rear side (216), a first side (218), a second side (220), a clamping groove (204) that is recessed into the bottom, and a U-pad body pivot feature (202); and an adapter body (300) disposed atop the U-pad body and including an adapter pivot feature (302). The adapter pivot feature and the U-pad body pivot feature cooperate to enable the U-pad body to pivot relative to the adapter body. The apparatus further includes: an anchor nut (400) disposed below the U-pad body; a tightening nut (500) disposed above the adapter body; and a stud (600) that is secured to the anchor nut, that is secured to the tightening nut, and that is passes through the adapter body hole and through the U-pad.
Ring for clasping cylindrical object
A ring for clasping a cylindrical object includes a first element, a second element and a switch mechanism. The second element is circumferentially butted with the first element, and one end of the first element is adjacent to one end of the second element. The end of the second element has a protrusion protruding outwardly. The switch mechanism includes an abutting member adjacent to the end of the first element and configured to be rotated to abut against or move away from the protrusion of the end of the second element. When the abutting member is rotated and abuts against the protrusion of the end of the second element, the second element is fixed; when the abutting member is rotated and moves away from the protrusion of the end of the second element, the second element is released.
