Build plate clamping-assembly and additive manufacturing systems and methods of additively printing on workpieces
A build plate-clamping assembly may include a work station having a build plate-receiving surface and a lock-pin extending from the build plate-receiving surface of the work station. The lock-pin may include a hollow pin body, a piston disposed within the hollow pin body, with the piston axially movable from a retracted position to an actuated position, and a plurality of detents, with the plurality of detents radially extensible through respective ones of a plurality of detent-apertures in the hollow pin body responsive to the piston having been axially moved to the actuated position. A methods of working on workpieces may include lockingly engaging a build plate at a first work station, performing a first work-step, releasing the build plate from the first work station, lockingly engaging the build plate at a second work station, and performing a second work-step. An additive manufacturing system may include a vision system with a first build plate-receiving surface and an additive manufacturing machine with a second build plate-receiving surface.
Hydraulic pressure vessel long seam welding jig
A hydraulic pressure vessel long seam welding jig device having a triangular frame, a pair of hydraulically actuated clamp mechanisms each having a clamp activating hydraulic cylinder operatively associated therewith, whereby each of the clamp mechanisms are positioned on opposite ends of the carriage beam and arranged to hold a workpiece during a long seam welding operation.
Device for clamping a piece of formwork, formwork for making a concrete slab, and a method of making a concrete slab
A device for clamping a piece of formwork includes a bar having an end for attachment to a body. The device includes a jaw mounted on the bar and for receiving the piece of formwork, the jaw being movable along the bar.
MITER CLAMPING SYSTEM
A clamping system and method useful in miter edge fabrication. Two separate units, each including a vacuum plate may be placed on separate slabs. The units may be connected with a knuckle that can be rotated to provide connection of the slabs in a variety of angles. The units are vacuum sealed to the slabs. The vacuum plates may include various sections of varied sizes to connect to different sized slabs. When the knuckle is locked, a worm gear will provide for lateral movement, relative the knuckle, to provide precision fitting of slabs.
Modular jig and fixture systems and methods
Jigs and fixtures for aligning, guiding, and/or holding a workpiece on woodworking machinery during a woodworking operation are described, as well as methods of making, modifying, and using jigs and fixtures.
Method of connecting two components as well as a component connection
A method of connecting a first component having a first hole with a second component having a second hole includes the acts of placing together the two components so that the holes are situated above one another, and fixing the two components on one another. The fixing occurs by pushing a connection element projecting beyond the two components through the two components, the connection element having at least one clamping head which projects beyond a side of the first component facing away from the second component, and clipping a clamping element onto the clamping head, so that the clamping element is supported on a side of the first component facing away from the second component and exercises a clamping force onto the connection element which clamps together the two components.

Inline clamp
An apparatus having a clamp configured to move between an open position and a closed position. The clamp has an actuator, a head, a base, two or more arms, and two abutments. The actuator extends through the head and the base. The two or more arms are coupled to the head and the base. The two abutments abut each other when the clamp is in the closed position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-HOLE ASSEMBLIES WITH ANGULAR ADJUSTMENT AND LOCKING
A dual-sleeve, locking adjustment arrangement includes a position-sensitive component comprising an aperture, an outer eccentric sleeve disposed in the aperture, and an inner eccentric sleeve disposed in the outer sleeve. Rotation of the outer sleeve with respect to the position-sensitive component and the inner sleeve drives rotation of the position-sensitive component to adjust an angular position of the component.
CLAMP FOR ELONGATE OBJECTS
A clamp comprises first and second clamp halves, each comprising an elongate object receiving portion and a portion of a clamp retention mechanism. The first and second elongate object receiving portions are sized and shaped to cooperatively hold an elongate object at a desired position when the first and second clamp halves are fastened together. The first and second portions of the clamp retention mechanism are sized and shaped to (a) engage each other when the first and second clamp halves are moved towards each other in a first direction, (b) fasten the first and second clamp halves together without requiring use of a tool to engage the retention mechanism, and (c) disengage from each other when the first and second clamp halves are moved away from each other in a direction orthogonal to the first direction to unfasten the first and second clamp halves without use of a tool.
