Apparatus and method for positioning a safety strap
An apparatus for positioning a strap around an object includes a handle for being grasped by a user of the apparatus. The apparatus further includes an arm portion having a first end coupled to the handle portion and an opposite second end having a coupling mechanism coupled at or nearby for selectively coupling a portion of the strap to the second end of the arm portion. When the handle portion is grasped by the user of the apparatus adjacent a side of the object the arm portion is sized and configured to be movable among: a first positioning wherein the arm portion extends outward from the handle and the user such that the second end of the arm portion extends a distance beyond a far side of the object, and a second positioning wherein the arm portion wraps at least partially around the object.
Hand tool for attracting and releasing magnetically attractable items
A handheld magnetic tool includes a body having a top arm and a bottom arm connected via a spring, the spring allows the top arm and the bottom arm to open and close; a magnet holder secured to a first end of the top arm; a first magnet secured to the magnet holder; a plate secured to a first end of the bottom arm to close against the first magnet; the first magnet attracts metal items to be secured to a bottom surface of the plate; and opening the top arm from the bottom arm separates the first magnet from the plate, thereby allowing the metal items to release from the plate.

RELEASE LEVER FOR MAGNETIC TOOL WITH ALIGNMENT INSERT ELEMENT
A magnetic hand tool and method of assembly for manipulated conveyance over a surface for magnetic collection of ferrous articles, by which procedure a quick-release cap is used to release any and all collected ferrous material. This tool utilizes an alignment insert in a central opening of the magnet to coaxially align fastener guide holes through polar plates or protective covers on opposing planar sides of the magnet and a fastener guide hole in the insert, whereby insertion of the fastener through the guide holes laterally aligns the components of the assembly.
The invention is the release device/cap, that is part of the assembly by means of a self-adhering or hinged cap with a lip, square, circular or other shape, to aid in the separation of ferrous material from the magnetic tool by pushing away the cap from the magnetic hand tool by holding the lip for that purpose. The divots make it that the release lever device/cap is held onto the magnetic hand tool assembly. The separation allows for the ferrous material to fall in the drop collection box by ways of gravitational pull.

Mat and floor covering puller
A puller for gripping a mat, or pad, and the like for aiding in the movement and placement thereof, the puller including a plurality of pivoted lever members and gripper members mounted thereon for securely gripping the mat or pad, and including at least one handle member for moving the lever members toward and away from each other for moving the gripper members into and out of contact with the mat or pad.

TOOL FOR MANIPULATING A GRATING PANEL
A tool includes an elongate shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, a handle disposed on the proximal end of the elongate shaft, a hook secured to the distal end of the elongate shaft, a housing slidably secured around the elongate shaft between the proximal and distal ends of the shaft, and a clutch-lock mechanism integrated into the housing and including a manually actuatable trigger. The clutch-lock mechanism passively grips the elongate shaft to prevent the housing from sliding toward the proximal end of the elongate shaft. However, manual actuation of the trigger releases the clutch-lock mechanism to allow the housing to slide toward the proximal end of the elongate shaft. The tool may be used to manipulate a grating panel.

CONSTRUCTION TOOL
A construction tool and method of using the tool. The tool includes a handle connected with a claw by a pivot near the bottom of the handle. The claw engages with a workpiece by penetrating the workpiece with a tooth point that is angled back from the claw toward the pivot. An anchor on the handle may engage with the floor. Pulling the handle away from the workpiece pivots the handle away from the claw at the top of the handle and toward the claw at the bottom. With the claw engaged with the workpiece and the anchor engaged with the floor, pulling the handle pulls the claw toward the handle, pulling the workpiece toward the user. Where the workpiece is a wall frame, the tool may facilitate securing the wall frame with an exterior surface that is flush against a lower-level structure located below the wall frame.
