EXTENSION SPRING ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20230013954 · 2023-01-19 ·

An extension spring assembly and a method for manufacturing the same. A helical extension spring is provided. The spring has a plurality of coils disposed along a longitudinal axis between an end coil at a first end and an end coil at a second end with the coils touching each other in absence of a force acting on the extension spring that is sufficient for extending the same. The end coils are gripped and the spring is extended to an extended position. In the extended position the spring has a predetermined distance between successive coils thereof In the extended position a coating material is disposed onto the surface of the spring such that the coating material is disposed onto a surface portion of the spring where the coils touch each other in absence of extension. The coating material is cured for a predetermined time interval while the spring is extended. The extension is removed from the spring after elapse of the predetermined time interval and the end coils are released. End mounts are then inserted into a first and a second end portion of the spring.

A machine and a wafer processing apparatus are provided; the machine includes a body and an adjustment part. The body is configured to bear a wafer; the adjustment part is disposed in the body, and the adjustment part uses a vacuum suction to adjust a levelness of an in-process wafer.

Suction device

The invention relates to a suction device (12) comprising a valve housing (18), a flexible partition wall (28) which runs in such a way that a control space (30) extends on one side and an intake side (21) lies on the other side, wherein the control space (30) is connected to the intake side (21) via a throttle passage (38), wherein the throttle passage (38) is formed in such a way that a flow resistance for flows is defined by the throttle passage (38) in such a way that, in the case of free suction, a negative pressure in relation to the intake side occurs in the control space (30) on account of the flow resistance. A sealing protrusion (44) protruding into the interior of the control space (30) and an associated seal seat (50) within the control space (30) are provided, wherein the sealing protrusion (44) and seal seat (50) are formed in such a way that, when the sealing protrusion (44) is placed against the seal seat (50), the flow path (40) through the throttle passage (38) into the control space (30) is interrupted within the control space (30).

Vacuum gripper

A vacuum gripper comprises a rigid base element and a loop-shaped vacuum seal element. The base element has first and second opposite sides. The seal element is attached at least indirectly to the second side and protruding therefrom in a direction away from the first side. The seal element comprises a contact surface that at least partially contacts with an object surface and an encircling surface oriented transversely to the contact surface so as to define a chamber. The seal element is elastically deformable at the contact surface to enable conforming to the object surface when pressed thereagainst. The vacuum gripper comprises an air extraction means mounted to the first side to be in fluid communication with the chamber through the base element, and configured to continuously extract air from the chamber to cause the contact surface to be urged towards and grip the object surface when pressed thereagainst.

Workpiece Tools and Techniques
