GENERATING DIGITAL MODELS OF CROP YIELD BASED ON CROP PLANTING DATES AND RELATIVE MATURITY VALUES
A method for generating digital models of potential crop yield based on planting date, relative maturity, and actual production history is provided. In an embodiment, data representing historical planting dates, relative maturity values, and crop yield is received by an agricultural intelligence computer system. Based on the historical data, the system generates spatial and temporal maps of planting dates, relative maturity, and actual production history. Using the maps, the system creates a model of potential yield that is dependent on planting date and relative maturity. The system may then receive actual production history data for a particular field. Using the received actual production history data, a particular planting date, and a particular relative maturity value, the agricultural intelligence computer system computes a potential yield for a particular field.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING EFFECTIVE PEST SEVERITY INDEX
Presence of natural enemies has a considerable impact on pest severity in a given geo-location. However, manually estimating pest severity or population of natural enemies is cumbersome, inaccurate and not scalable. Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable estimating effective pest severity index by receiving a first set of inputs pertaining to weather associated with a geo-location under consideration; receiving a second set of inputs pertaining to agronomic information; generating a pest forecasting model and a natural enemies forecasting model based on the received first set and the second set of inputs for each pest; and estimating the effective pest severity index based on the generated models. The timing and quantity of pesticide application can be optimized based on the estimated pest severity index. The generated models can be further enhanced continually based on one or more of historical data, participatory sensing inputs, crowdsourcing inputs and management practices.

HYDROPONIC GROWING SYSTEM
A hydroponic growing system that comprises a plurality of parallel horizontal pipes, a vertical drain pipe, and a plurality of nutrient-delivering tubes. The horizontal pipes are adapted to support crops that receive nutrients from the nutrient-delivering tubes and grow in high density. The horizontal pipes have opposite first and second ends, as well as a plurality of openings along a length, and a plurality of pipe segments extending angularly from an outer surface. The vertical drain pipe has a plurality of angular pipe extensions along a length, which mate with one of the first and second ends of the horizontal pipes. The nutrient-delivering tubes have openings along a length and extend from the vertical drain pipe, branching through the pipe segments extending from the horizontal pipes.
