Handheld fastener installation guide

A handheld guide for advancing and installing a decking fastener with an elongate track with a rail and an advancement member. The advancement member carries a pivoting pawl with an engagement surface for advancing fasteners forward through the track to an installation position with a frontmost fastener aligned with a screw guide for driving a screw through the frontmost fastener. The rail has a ramp transitioning to a cliff and a lower ledge such that the frontmost fastener is maintained forward of the cliff above the ledge in the installation position. The pawl pivots to disengage from the fasteners when the advancement member moves rearwardly along the track.

An engager is disclosed for use with a torque wrench. The engager may include a housing connectable to a rotating output of a motor, and a motor rotor slidingly disposed in and mechanically locked to rotate with the housing. The engager may also include a tool rotor connectable to a rotating input of the torque wrench, and a fluid piston configured to effect selective engagement of the motor rotor with the tool rotor.

Hammer union wrench

The invention relates to a tool for applying torque to a hammer union having a hammer union wing with wing nuts. The tool comprises a wrench having an arcuate or circular shaped wrench head that can be placed around the hammer union wing, the wrench head having wing nut cavities in the inner surface for receiving the hammer union wing nuts, and sockets around the outer surface for receiving one or more lever members such as a torque bar and/or hammer lug for applying torque to rotate the wrench head. The lever member(s) may be positioned in any of the sockets in the wrench head, thereby allowing the lever member(s) to be repositioned during use with respect to the wrench head without having to remove the wrench head from the hammer union. The wrench head may be held in place on the hammer union wing using magnets.

An air hammer is connected to a transfer fixture that has a distal end with a transverse rod. A wrench has an open end with a jaw assembly that has a mouth to receive the transverse rod. The jaw assembly has a swivel tooth that is manually moved from an open position to allow insertion of the transverse rod into the mouth. For a working mode using the air hammer to hit the mouth, the tooth is moved to a locked mode. A ball and spring assembly ensures the transverse rod stays in the mouth during operation.

Impact wrenches of the present invention generally include a handle including a slide hammer that is movable relative to a head end of the wrenches. The head includes a force translation portion positioned to translate force applied to the force translation portion from the slide hammer to rotate a tool connected to the force translation portion. When the tool is engaged with a rotatable fitting a substantially linear force applied with the slide hammer may be translated to the tool, which converts at least a portion of the force to a rotational force to loosen or tighten the fitting.
