In some embodiments, a system may include one or more of a pair of electrodes, a first membrane selectively permeable to a first wastewater nutrient, a second membrane selectively permeable to a second wastewater nutrient, and at least one spacing frame comprising a structural element, a gasket, and a flow channel. In some embodiments, the system may further include a septic tank.
Water reclamation system
An orifice cavitation device is disclosed herein which promotes cavitation at low operating pressures. An output opening has a sharp edge which facilitates cavitation. Moreover, an inner perimeter length may be increased by forming notches in the opening. Also, grooves may be formed on the inner surface of a funnel of the orifice cavitation device. The grooves may be straight and also spiral or slanted to encourage the water to rotate and increase shearing forces which also facilitates cavitation.
Porous biological polymerizing agent for sediment dewatering in the environmental dredging of rivers and lakes, and method of its preparation and use
A porous biological polymerizing agent for sediment dewatering in environmental dredging of rivers and lakes is disclosed, which is obtained by thoroughly mixing 50 wt % to 70 wt % of an agent A and 30 wt % to 50 wt % of an agent B into irregular spheres of 1 mm to 3 mm, and crushing the irregular spheres into solid particles with a particle size of 20 mesh, and the solid particles have a pH of 5.0 to 6.0. The agent A is obtained by thoroughly mixing 10 wt % to 30 wt % of cellulose, 20 wt % to 50 wt % of starch, and 20 wt % to 40 wt % of amino acid; and the agent B is obtained by thoroughly mixing 40 wt % to 70 wt % of saccharifying enzyme (SE) and 30 wt % to 60 wt % of citric acid.
Sump pump system and methods for removing synthetic ester-based fluids from an emulsion
A polishing filter apparatus employed within a sump pump system for removing mineral oils, natural ester, and synthetic ester-based fluids from an emulsion is provided. The polishing filter apparatus is connected to a sump pump barrier via a polishing filter inlet conduit. Further conduit structures are disposed within the polishing filter apparatus, which lead into a polishing filter cartridge. The polishing filter removes excess synthetic ester-based fluids from a water/oil emulsion fluid flowing therethrough and releases a resultant filtered fluid. The polishing filter cartridge contains a filtration media with a hydrophilic composition for the capture of synthetic ester-based fluid having a surface tension dissimilar to water, and the hydrophilic composition of the media has a surface energy greater than or equal to 35 dynes per centimeter.
Solar boat for easy collection of spilled oil and garbage
A solar boat for easy collection of spilled oil and garbage of the present disclosure includes a cabin unit, a boat body consisting of a pair of ship bottoms having a structure that is symmetrical left and right and spaced apart below the cabin unit, a solar panel unit provided above the cabin unit and configured to convert solar energy into electrical energy, a collection and transfer unit provided between the pair of ship bottoms, driven by the electric energy supplied from the solar panel unit, and configured to collect spilled oil and garbage into the inside of the boat body, a garbage storage unit, and a spilled oil storage unit, wherein the collection and transfer unit comprises a rotating conveyor belt, and an oil adsorption member and a collection member that are attached to and detached from the conveyor belt, and the solar boat for easy collection of spilled oil and garbage of the present disclosure has an effect of having excellent work efficiency by simultaneously including an oil adsorption member and a collection member that are attached to and detached from a conveyor belt and simultaneously proceeding with collection of spilled oil and collection of garbage on the water, and an effect of being able to separate the spilled oil from the oil adsorption member, the collection member, and the garbage and easily move the spilled oil to the spilled oil storage unit by including a steam spray nozzle configured to spray hot steam at the end of the conveyor belt.
Wastewater treatment system
Water treatment systems for year round consistent achievement of less than 2.5 mg/L of total nitrogen from a gray water starting effluent having about 65 mg/L of total nitrogen. The system may include a septic tank, an anaerobic upflow filter (AUF) that receives wastewater from the septic tank, a recirculating media filter (RMF) that receives wastewater from the AUF, and an anoxic denitrification filter that receives wastewater from the RMF. A drain field may be positioned downstream from the denitrification filter for ultimate disposal of the wastewater. The AUF may reduce the biological oxygen demand (BOD), although its presence also aids the combination of the RMF and denitrification filter that follow to consistently achieve <2.5 mg/L of total nitrogen in the system effluent. An equalization tank, recirculation tank, one or more recycle loops, and various pump stations may also be included. The system may be configured as a two-stage system.
Fitting for a water tank
A fitting, and method for mounting the fitting, to a water tank including a wall defining an inlet opening. The fitting comprising a solar shield for mounting to an edge of the wall, the edge defining the inlet opening. The solar shield including a base defining a lower region; at least a first arm extending upwardly from the base, the first arm having a portion that overlies an external surface of the tank when the fitting is fitted to the tank; at least a second arm extending upwardly from the base; and, a solar shield adapted to allow fluid to pass located, wherein the solar shield is adapted to snap fit into the inlet opening when the fitting is fitted to the tank without the use of additional fasteners, joiners and/or adhesives.
In situ fluid diffusion apparatus and system
Some embodiments are directed to a tunnel device for use in single pass sand filtration (SPSF) systems, including curved lateral walls which meet at an apex channel having a flat top, an open bottom, and side vented walls. The interaction between the characterizing components and vertically streamed treated wastewater from a pressurized pipe results in the maximized lateral transport of the treated wastewater towards the side vented walls and the adjacent soil strata therethrough which contains aerobic microbial communities able to decompose organic wastewater material thereby delivering enhanced wastewater treatment and water volume reductions through evapotranspiration.
System for purifying and delivering surface water to an aquifer
A system for purifying and delivering surface water from rain or snow-melt to the local aquifer in order to increase the local groundwater level, is disclosed. The system includes activated charcoal for removal of contaminants including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly referred to as PFAS, from surface water prior to delivering the water to the aquifer.
