INSERTION TOOL

An insertion tool may be utilized for placement of a seal into a groove of a component. The insertion tool may comprise a base and a seal lifting portion. The seal lifting portion may comprise a surface configured to selectably engage with a seal to move the seal between a lifted position and an unlifted position within an associated groove of a component. The surface of the seal lifting portion may be configured to continuously move the seal between the lifted position and unlifted position. The seal may have a first height h.sub.1 and a second height h.sub.2, wherein h.sub.2 may be less than h.sub.1. The seal may be stretched to h.sub.2 in the lifted position and returned to h.sub.1 in the unlifted positioned in the associated groove of the component.

An installation tool for installing a seal includes a shaft and a seal-engaging component coupled with the shaft. During an installation of the seal, the seal-engaging component is adapted to couple with the seal. The seal-engaging component includes a first surface and a second surface. The seal-engaging component also includes a first annular ring extending from the first surface and adapted to engage with the seal for coupling the seal with the seal-engaging component. The seal-engaging component further includes a second annular ring extending from the first surface. The installation tool also includes a sliding hammer adapted to slide along a length of the shaft. During the installation of the seal, the sliding hammer is adapted to apply a force to the seal-engaging component for installing the seal at a seal installation location.

The storage component disassembly tooling has a drilling portion and a positioning portion. The drilling portion moves relative to the positioning portion to destroy at least a part of the storage component mounting bracket.

A heavy-duty vehicle maintenance tool applicable to mount or remove a component from a gearbox has a cylindrical shape with a predetermined extension along a central axis. The tool further including a cylindrical wall enclosing an inner cylindrical cavity and connecting an open first end and a closed second end. The tool has a first end arranged to be placed in contact with a corresponding surface on a component to be mounted and a second end arranged to be subjected to an external force in order to mount or remove the component. The second end includes an internal reinforcing lattice structure within the cavity. The tool is a lightweight, one-piece thermoplastic component and is produced using an additive manufacturing process.

TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A TRANSMISSION HOUSING AND A RECEIVING SPACE FOR RECEIVING AN ELECTRONIC AND/OR ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONAL UNIT

A transmission assembly may include a transmission housing; and a receiving space for receiving an electrical functional unit. The receiving space may be formed by at least one wall in the transmission housing and a lid unit, the receiving space may be sealable from an exterior environment via a seal in a contact region on the transmission housing and the lid unit. The lid unit may be connectable to the transmission housing by a screw, where the lid unit includes a channel through which at least part of the screw passes, and where the channel has an inner thread section.

Extraction system and apparatus and method thereof

In accordance with embodiments of the invention there is provided an extraction system, and extraction apparatus (30) and method therefore in for removing studs from sockets. The system is particularly advantageous for removing one or more studs (28) from the sockets (24) of bell cranks (16) of steering systems of vehicles such as an Off-highway Truck. In a particular arrangement the apparatus (30) comprises a frame member (32) adapted to be attached to a pivot joint (14) for extraction of the stud (28) from the socket (16). Furthermore, the apparatus 30 comprises actuator means (34) adapted to be selectively displaced between an extended condition and a contracted condition for applying a force to the stud (28) so as extract or at least loosen the stud (28) from the socket (36). In a particular arrangement, the actuator (34) comprises a hydraulic actuator. The system is adapted to remotely operate the extraction apparatus (30).

Extraction system and apparatus and method thereof

In accordance with embodiments of the invention there is provided an extraction system, and extraction apparatus (30) and method therefore in for removing studs from sockets. Multi-tool

A multi-tool includes a pair of plates having respective handle portions, joint portions, and head portions, and the plates pivotally connected to each other at the joint portions and having respective opposite edges extended along the handle portions. At least one of the plates is to be pivoted relative to the other of the plates to establish an open position and a closed position of the plates, and, in the closed position of the plates, the plates to overlap each other and the opposite edges of the handle portions of the plates to be substantially aligned.
