In one aspect of the invention, a floor nailing gun includes a nail magazine; a sleeve component; a nail ejecting component; an elastic component; and a base, where an end face of one end of the nail magazine is provided with at least one threaded hole for fixedly connecting the nail magazine to the base, and the sleeve component, the nail ejecting component, and the elastic component are mounted on the nail magazine, wherein the nail magazine is provided with an L-shaped groove having an L-shaped cross section or a T-shaped groove having a T-shaped cross section, and a boss for preventing nails from jumping up and down is formed at the top of the L-shaped groove or the T-shaped groove.

An apparatus and method is provided for holding fasteners (such as lag screws) while being driven into a work piece. The holder holds the fastener away from a worker's hand so that it may be driven into the work piece without the hand being close to the driving action of the driving tool (such as a hammer). The holder then releases the screw to be completely driven into the work piece. While the fastener is being set, the holder holds one or more other fasteners in reserve.

The present disclosure is directed to a single-sided deck clip that allows an approach to deck board installation with hidden fasteners, and without grooving both edges of a deck board. By not grooving edges, perimeter trim can include one square finished edge on ending pieces. The single-sided clip allows for attaching fasteners through the clip at an angle that penetrates both a deck board and an underlying joist, thus providing a positive connection of decking to joist framing below. In another embodiment, a clip magazine is disclosed that stores, supplies, and assists in installation of single-sided deck clips and fasteners. The clip magazine can hold a plurality fasteners and single-sided deck clips. The magazine allows the single-sided clips and fasteners to be positioned relative to the deck board, and allows fasteners to be aligned with a single-sided clip, and pushed into a deck board during installation.

A nail guide assembly for protecting a floor from being damaged while driving a fastener into the floor includes a handle that is selectively gripped. A blade is coupled to the handle and the blade is positioned on a support surface. The blade has a plurality of apertures therein and a fastener is positioned in a selected aperture for driving the fastener into the support surface. The blade is comprised of an impact resistant material. In this way the blade inhibits the support surface from is damaged when the fastener is driven into the support surface.

An underwater air tacker (T) according to the present invention comprises: a water infiltration prevention means (1) which prevents water from infiltrating into a hammer operating means (100); an exhaust cover (2) preventing the water from flowing in; a compressed air discharge valve (3) preventing the water from flowing in; and a piston front-air discharge means (4). According to the underwater air tacker (T) having the above structure according to the present invention, when a marine collision accident occurs or a vessel faces a risk of sinking, a diver can rapidly repair a hole in the vessel underwater. Thus, damage caused by oil spill may be minimized, and loss of lives and property caused by the sinking of vessels can be prevented.

An apparatus and method is provided for holding fasteners (such as lag screws) while being driven into a work piece. A tool comprises a handle and a tool head at an end of the handle. The tool head has a channel for receiving a fastener. There is a resilient member disposed along a length of an inner surface of a wall defining the channel. The resilient member may be retained by a recess in an edge of the wall defining the channel. The channel may be defined by a first wall and a second wall and a web extending between the first wall and the second wall. The resilient member may be disposed along an inner surface of the first wall. There may be a lip extending along the second wall. The channel may alternatively be defined by a substantially tubular wall. The resilient member may be a spring disposed along an inner surface of the substantially tubular wall.

A holding and dispensing device may conveniently store fasteners and permits a user to easily and quickly retrieve and dispense fasteners, such as staples, one at a time, without the risk of fasteners falling out of the device, or protruding in a manner that may harm the user. Embodiments may be especially suitable for a core of staples. The present disclosure further relates to methods of holding fasteners in a fastener holder and methods of dispensing fasteners.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a hammer socket including an adaptor cavity configured to be attached to another tool and a strike plate providing a surface to strike an object. The hammer socket includes a cylindrical body having a base on one end face thereof and a cylindrical head on the other end face thereof. The adaptor cavity extends into the cylindrical body through a portion of the base and forms a female adaptor configured to receive a male adaptor of the other tool. The cylindrical head is coaxial with the cylindrical body and includes the strike plate on end face of the cylindrical head opposite the base.

Provided is, among other things, an apparatus for facilitating the hanging of an object on a wall or other surface. This apparatus includes: a main body section having a first surface; an upper section connected to the main body section and having a protruding portion that protrudes away from the first surface; a lower section connected to the main body section and having an opening for accepting and holding a hanging/attachment element; and a securing mechanism. At least one of the upper section or the lower section is a slidable section that is slidably attached to the main body section and thereby capable of moving vertically up and down the main body section, but can be temporarily fixed at an arbitrary position along the main body section using the securing mechanism.
