Multi-Stroke Powered Safety Hammer System

A multi-stroke powered safety hammer system includes a hammer having a body, a cylinder within the body, and a piston carried in the cylinder for reciprocal movement therein. The system includes a quick-connect coupling mount on the hammer, the mount having an inner barrel bounding a hollow interior, an outer sleeve for sliding movement over the inner barrel, and an engagement assembly defined by the inner barrel and the outer sleeve for locking an attachment in the interior. The system includes one of many attachments with an engagement portion; when the engagement portion is applied to the quick-connect coupling mount and the hammer is operated, the piston reciprocates to impact the engagement portion. The attachments guide fasteners, remove fasteners, and process materials.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS RELATING TO DOCUMENT AND FASTENER IDENTIFICATION

Method and systems of automated document processing described herein include activating in sequence a plurality of illumination modules of an illumination source to illuminate a document, where the plurality of illumination modules are located at different positions relative to the document. The document can be imaged each time the document is illuminated by an illumination module to provide a plurality of images. A shadow profile of the document can be obtained based on the plurality of images. One or more of a boundary of the document and presence of a fastener attached to the document can be identified using the shadow profile. Any fasteners present may be removed using a robot arm.

A tool for extracting tent stakes from the ground is disclosed. The tool has a portion that houses the motor and hydraulic fluid tank, and a hydraulic cylinder portion the user holds against a tent stake and operates to pull the tent stake. Hydraulic hoses connect the two portions. Separating the motor from the hydraulic cylinder allows the user to manipulate just the portion performing work on the tent stake without having to also lift or stabilize the larger and heavier motor portion. Rotating a handle causes the hydraulic cylinder to extend or retract. A hand guard may be present to prevent accidental crush injuries. The tool is designed to fully extract a stake in two strokes of the hydraulic cylinder.
