A floor tapping block is described. The floor tapping block includes a planar base having a front downward facing tongue extending below the planar base. The planar base has a track attached to a top surface thereof. A handle portion having a groove can be fitted over the track on the planar base. The handle portion having a front face configured to be hit with a hammer. This portion can be a flat portion raised from the handle. A locking pin to secure the handle portion to the planar base. The locking pin may be a spring biased pin that locks into predefined locking holes in the planar base. The locking pin may also be a combination of a screw and a nut.

The present disclosure relates to a method for producing polycrystalline silicon fragments. The process includes (a) providing a polycrystalline silicon rod, (b) working the surface of the silicon rod by means of a hammer or needle hammer to remove at least a portion of a layer of the surface of the polycrystalline silicon rod, and (c) reducing the silicon rod to fragments. Wherein an amount of impact energy expended by the hammer and/or needle hammer is from 1 J to 15 J.

A combination tool includes a surveyor's rod having a tubular body and a hammer that is slidable within the tubular body using an external handle. The tubular body defines an opening to insert a nail to be hammered into a surface below the tubular body. A nail-loading device may be affixed adjacent to the tubular body. The nail-loading device has a tube for receiving a nail and a lever arm that can be pivoted away from the tube to receive a nail and then pivoted back to its resting position to force the nail into the tubular body through the opening in the tubular body. A hammer-stop may be affixed to the tubular body to form a physical stop to the downward movement of the hammer. A handle lock may be employed along with a rod-tip point.
Overstrike Protector
An apparatus for protecting a tool from an overstrike event. The apparatus generally includes a handle, a tool head, and a collar configuration with two or more collar members adapted to separably surround the handle. The collar portions are affixed to the outer surface of the handle by an adhesive means. The tool head is placed over the handle and collar members and is affixed to the outer surfaces of the collar members with a second adhesive means. The tool head secures the collar members which protect the handle around its circumference in the event of an overstrike event in any direction.
