SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSEMBLING A HAMMER TOOL
20240191742 · 2024-06-13 · ·

Systems and methods can include stretching a stud of a hammer assembly by tightening, according to a preset amount, a plurality of fasteners, which can extend from a first end surface and/or a second end surface of a first nut threadedly coupled to the stud, against an upper surface of a body of the hammer assembly. The fasteners and the first nut can provide a clamping load for the stud upon completion of the tightening. The systems and methods can also include, after the stretching, tightening a second nut, which can be threadedly connected to the stud, toward a seat formed in the body of the hammer assembly; and further tightening the second nut, against the seat. The systems and methods can further include transferring the clamping load from the fasteners and first nut to the second nut.

Rock drilling arrangement and machine

A rock drilling arrangement includes an impact device having a frame, pressure chambers in the frame, and a piston arranged in the impact device. The arrangement further includes a rear mounting arrangement for attaching the impact device to a carriage, a front mounting arrangement for attaching the impact device to a machine component, at least one fore pressure accumulator arranged on a front side of the rear mounting arrangement in an axial direction of the piston, and at least one rear pressure accumulator arranged on a back side of the rear mounting arrangement. The fore pressure accumulator and the rear pressure accumulator are connected to one of the pressure chambers and arranged to absorb pressure fluctuations in the pressure chambers.

ATTACHMENT FOR POWERED HAMMER

A method of driving a rod into the ground comprises coupling an impact portion of an attachment to a powered hammer, positioning the rod between a first jaw of the attachment and a second jaw of the attachment, activating a first motor to move the first jaw toward the second jaw, such that the rod is clamped between the two jaws, and activating a second motor to drive an axial impact mechanism of the powered hammer to deliver repeated axial impacts to the impact portion of the attachment.

ADAPTER FOR ROTARY HAMMER
20240181618 · 2024-06-06 ·

A rotary hammer includes a housing having a chuck, an anvil moveable axially within the housing, an adapter removably coupled to the chuck. The adapter includes an input shaft that receives axial force from the anvil and a drill bit configured to impact a workpiece. The input shaft defines an input axis, and the drill bit defines an output axis, the input axis being spaced from the output axis.

Attachment for powered hammer

An attachment configured for use with a powered hammer to drive a rod into the ground includes a body, an impact portion, and a driving portion in which the rod is receivable. The impact portion defines an impact axis and includes a bore configured to receive a driving shank coupled to the powered hammer. The impact portion is configured to receive repeated impacts from the powered hammer. The driving portion includes a side load driving portion defining a side load driving axis that is parallel to the impact axis. The driving portion further includes a top load driving portion defining a top load driving axis that is parallel to the side load driving axis.

NON-CONTACT SPEED SELECTOR SWTICH IN ROTARY POWER TOOL

A rotary power tool includes a housing having a motor housing portion and a handle portion extending therefrom. An electric motor is positioned within the motor housing portion. The rotary power tool further includes a trigger switch configured to activate and deactivate the motor. The rotary power tool further includes a non-contact speed selector switch positioned in the housing. The non-contact speed selector switch is configured to adjust a rotational speed of the motor. The non-contact speed selector switch is separate from the trigger switch.

Concrete anchor driver tool

The disclosed concrete anchor driver tool is coupled to a rotary hammer drill to install a concrete anchor. The tool includes a rod having multi-faceted bolt head end, such as a hexagonal bolt head end, and a socket having a multi-faceted opening in the socket end of the socket. The socket is slipped over the rod and held against the bolt head end of the rod by a compressible spring. The concrete anchor driver tool is operated by coupling the concrete anchor driver tool to a rotary hammer drill, slipping the socket over the concrete anchor, and operating the drill in the hammer mode to hammer the concrete anchor bolt into the concrete. The rotary hammer drill is then put in rotate mode and used to rotate the concrete anchor driver tool rod, which rotates the socket, which, in turn, tightens the nut on the concrete anchor.
