The methods and systems can be used to reclaim CCBs from ponds or dry landfills by obtaining mixed waste, crushing the mixed waste to form crushed mixed waste, drying the crushed mixed waste to form dried crushed mixed waste, and combining the dried crushed mixed waste with other compounds to form a blend. The blends can then be incorporated into a cement material, which may be used to form concrete.

The object of the invention relates to a neutron absorbing concrete wall (10), which concrete wall (10) has an internal delimiting surface (11a), and an external delimiting surface (11b) on an opposite side to the internal delimiting surface (11a), the essence of which is that it contains a first concrete layer (13a) on the side of the internal delimiting surface (11a), and a second concrete layer (13b) on the side of the external delimiting surface (11b), which first concrete layer (13a) contains at least 0.05 mass % boron-10 isotope (10B), and the second concrete layer (13b) is formed as heavyweight concrete. The object of the invention also relates to a method for creating a neutron radiation absorbing concrete wall (10) that has an internal delimiting surface (11a), and an external delimiting surface (11b) on an opposite side to the internal delimiting surface (11a), the essence of which is a first concrete layer (13a) containing at least 0.05 mass % boron-10 isotope (.sup.10B) is formed on the side of the internal delimiting surface (11a), and a second concrete layer (13b) created as heavyweight concrete is formed on the side of the external delimiting surface (11b). The object of the invention also relates to a neutron absorbing concrete wall (10), the essence of which is that it is formed as heavyweight concrete containing at least 0.05 mass % boron-10 isotope (.sup.10B).

A co-disposal pollution control method of municipal solid waste and fly ash leached by membrane concentrate, comprising the following steps: heat treating the mixture of leached ash and municipal solid waste at 800-1100° C. to obtain residue; the leaching ash is fly ash after being leached with membrane concentrate. The invention solves the problems existed in the co-disposal treatment of membrane concentrate, incineration fly ash and municipal solid waste, and the leaching toxicity of the ash leached by the membrane concentrated solution is reduced, moreover, the leaching concentration of heavy metals in the residue obtained after the leaching treatment is treated with municipal solid waste at medium and high temperature, and the residue obtained after heat treatment can be used as building materials.

A method of forming composite materials comprises providing a first high carbon footprint substance; providing a carbon nanomaterial produced with a carbon-footprint of less than 10 unit weight of carbon dioxide (CO.sub.2) emission during production of 1 unit weight of the carbon nanomaterial; and forming a composite comprising the high carbon footprint substance and from 0.001 wt % to 25 wt % of the carbon nanomaterial, wherein the carbon nanomaterial is homogeneously dispersed in the composite to reduce the carbon dioxide emission for producing the composite material relative to the high carbon footprint substance.

The invention discloses an environment-friendly cement self-repairing system, and its preparation method and application. The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding a shell curing agent into deionized water to prepare solution 1, adding an inorganic nano emulsifier into deionized water, ultrasonically dispersing, then adding polysaccharide-shell, and uniformly stirring to obtain emulsion polymerization aqueous phase; adding epoxy diluent into epoxy resin, and uniformly stirring; obtaining an emulsion polymerization oil phase; mixing the emulsion polymerization aqueous phase and emulsion polymerization oil phase, and stirring to obtain uniform emulsion; dropping the uniform emulsion into solution drop by drop by using pendant drop method, stirring until the droplets are shaped, then filtering, washing with deionized water, and drying to obtain self-repairing capsules; next, mixing with an environment-friendly curing agent to obtain an environment-friendly cement self-repairing system. The environment-friendly cement self-repairing system is green, nontoxic and harmless, has strong water absorption, can block tiny cracks by volume expansion when contacts with water, thus further enhances the cement self-repairing effect.

Methyl-ethyl-hydroxyalkyl-cellulose and its use in building compositions

A methyl ethyl hydroxyalkyl cellulose (MEHEC), process for making the MEHEC, and a powder containing the MEHEC are disclosed. The MEHEC is provided with a DSmethyl from 1.5 to 2.5, a DSethyl from 0.005 to 0.15, and a MSalkylene-oxide from 0.005 to 0.2. The methyl ethyl hydroxyalkyl cellulose optionally includes an anti-oxidant. The MEHEC optionally does not have a combination of a DSmethyl of 2.2 or 1.8, a DSethyl of 0.05 or 0.1, and a MSalkylene-oxide of 0.1 and does not have a combination of a DSmethyl of 2.5 or 2.0, a DSethyl of 0.1, and a MSalkylene-oxide of 0.05. The MEHEC has very good biostability and is suitable for use in the building industry.
