Various aspects disclosed relate to a fishing lure. The fishing lure includes a body portion having a longitudinal axis extending therethrough. The fishing lure further includes a tail portion and a jointed connection between the body portion and the tail portion. The body portion includes at least two biasing elements each extending from opposite sides of the body portion at an angle in a range of from about 30 degrees to about 65 degrees relative to the longitudinal axis. The at least two biasing elements are each configured to selectively contact opposed surfaces of the tail portion.

A sensor assembly for a castable lure is provided including a pressure sensor configured to measure a water pressure applied to the castable lure when deployed in an underwater environment, a processor, and a memory including computer program code. The computer program code configured to, when executed on the processor, cause the processor to receive pressure data from the pressure sensor, correlate the pressure data with time stamp data, cause the pressure data and correlated time stamp data to be stored in the memory, determine a data connection status between a transceiver and a marine electronic device, and in response to determining that a data connection exists, cause the pressure data and the correlated time stamp data to be transmitted to the marine electronic device. The pressure data and correlated pressure data correspond to a depth profile for a cast of the castable lure.

A lure includes one or more cores having a surface shape and coloration configured to represent an anatomy of a food for a game fish with one or more outer portions of translucent material disposed thereabout. The outer portion is at least partially flexible with one or more outer fins and/or tails configured to cause the lure to move through water in conformance with a mode of transit. The core presents a three-dimensional appearance of a schooling baitfish, a bottom baitfish, a crustacean, an amphibian, a worm, a grub, an insect, a spider, a leech, or another creature that is attractive to fish. The core may include a surface shape and/or coloration that represents a mouth, an eye, a fin, and/or one or more gills or opercles. The core may be formed around a rigid object such as a hook, a line leader, or a weight.

A lure includes one or more cores having a surface shape and coloration configured to represent an anatomy of a food for a game fish with one or more outer portions of translucent material disposed thereabout. The outer portion is at least partially flexible with one or more outer fins and/or tails configured to cause the lure to move through water in conformance with a mode of transit. A method of manufacturing a fishing jig hook allows a user to create a custom fishing jig hook that attracts fish. A user can attract specific fish by using jigs that mimic the appearances of the smaller bait fish that the target fish usually consumes. The fishing jig produced is reusable, thus reducing waste due to extended periods of fishing. Further, the fishing jig is bent to provide a hydrodynamic shape. The formed apparatus provides a malleable disk, a fishing jig hook, a metal-cutting tool, a folding rod, a ruler, a marker, a metal-puncturing tool, and at least one ornament. These tools include the necessary jig lure material required as well as the tools needed to subsequently shape that material.

A submersible fishing apparatus that contains one or more cavities along the fascia of its body, each said cavity comprising a temporary individual housing for bait or fish-attracting material (including such bait as stink bait), so that a fisherman may easily apply and refresh the bait/attractant between uses, thus allowing a fisherman to easily attract fish with minor effort.
