APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING IN REMOVING, INSTALLING, TRANSPORTING, AND/OR STORING A DOOR OF A VEHICLE
A door lift apparatus for removing and/or installing a door of a vehicle by lifting the door from or onto hinges of the vehicle. The door lift apparatus includes a support frame, a cradle for receiving the door, and a displacement device configured to raise and lower the cradle relative to the support frame, and may further include a lateral stabilizer to prevent or limit lateral movement of the cradle relative to the support frame and/or a leveling shim to maintain the door in a substantially level position when supported. A door storage apparatus configured to be used with the door lift apparatus has a hanger arm configured to extend through a window opening of the door and support the door. A door glide slidably mounted on the hanger arm provides a mechanism to move the door axially back and forth along the hanger arm without scratching the door.
ADD-ON ELEMENT FOR A PERFORATED PLATE
An add-on element for a perforated plate having throughbores arranged in a regular grid includes an attachment part having a throughbore, an extension part, and a connecting element configured to secure the attachment part to an underside of the perforated plate by passing through a respective one of the throughbores of the perforated plate and the throughbore in the attachment part.
Improved Self-Balancing Tool Guide
A self-aligning tool guide includes a mounting for fixing a hand-held machine tool, a lifting mechanism where the mounting is mounted on the lifting mechanism, and a self-balancing chassis that has two wheels on a wheel axle, a drive coupled with the two wheels, and a steering system. A lateral deflection of a center of gravity of the lifting mechanism relative to the wheel axle is detectable by a center of gravity sensor and the steering system is configured to control the drive to output a torque counteracting the lateral deflection. A self-balancing member is mounted on an upper portion of the self-aligning tool guide and the self-balancing member delivers an additional torque for balancing the self-aligning tool guide.
Mobile Inverted Drill Press
A vertical inverted drill press apparatus configured to extend a drill about a vertical support having a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion is configured to telescope out and away from the bottom portion when manipulated via a lever. The lever pivots about a pivot point. The lever amounts to a handle disposed in communication with an actuator which manipulates a swing arm. The swing arm is connected to the telescoping top portion. When the handle is pulled down, the top portion is forced upwards in a straight line along the primary axis of the body. A drill mount is configured to secure a drill in an inverted, drill-bit-up orientation to facilitate the drilling of holes in ceilings and similar locations.
Drill guide for hand-held drill
A drill guide for a drill bit of a hand-held drill is disclosed. The drill guide includes a mount, a telescoping guard, and a guide foot. The mount is configured to couple to a non-rotating portion of the hand-held drill. The telescoping guard extends from the mount and is configured to telescope into a retracted position from an extended position. The guide foot is coupled to the telescoping guard opposite the mount such that the drill guide enshrouds the drill bit when the telescoping guard is in the extended position, and the drill bit passes through the guide foot as the telescoping guard telescopes into the retracted position from the extended position.
Adjustable support prop
An adjustable support prop that can be customized to the support requirements of a wide variety of objects to be held in place. The prop includes first, second and third support members which are coupled together in a manner that allows the weight of an object to be supported in order to provide stability to the prop. The length of one of the support members is adjustable so that the height of the prop can be customized to the support requirements of the object to be supported.
Method for installing a pulling head assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.
Bicycle workstation
A bicycle workstation that is removably suspended in a doorway when in use includes several elongate members that collectively provide at least three contact surfaces, and an additional elongate member that, in the illustrative embodiment, couples to a clamp suitable for clamping to a part of a bicycle. The contact surfaces are arranged such that the weight of the bicycle forces them against a wall, door frame, and moulding on both sides of the doorway, thereby securely suspending the bicycle workstation, and the bicycle clamped to it.
SAMPLE STAND AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAMPLE STAND
A sample stand includes a base portion that is made of a first material and has an arcuate outer edge in a plane having a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a first portion that is provided on an upper portion of the base portion in the second direction and in which a second material is embedded, a second portion that is provided on the upper portion of the base portion in the second direction and in which a third material is embedded, and a sample holding portion on which a sample is to be held. The sample holding portion is provided on the upper portion of the base portion in the second direction, between the first portion and the second portion in a third direction orthogonal to each of the first direction and the second direction.
Self-aligning tool guide
A self-aligning tool guide has a holder for securing a portable power tool for working on a ceiling, a lifting mechanism, and a self-balancing chassis. The holder is mounted on the lifting mechanism. The lifting mechanism has a propulsion system for raising the holder parallel to a lifting axis. The self-balancing chassis has two wheels on a wheel axis, a drive coupled to the two wheels, and a steering system. A contact sensor serves for detecting an indirect contact of the holder with the ceiling. The chassis has a brake. A controller has a mode in which the brake is activated and the balancing of the self-balancing chassis is deactivated.
