3-dimensional printing
12337532 · 2025-06-24 · ·

The present disclosure relates a method of 3-dimensional printing a printed part. The method comprises printing an inkjet dopant composition at selected locations on a layer of build material comprising polymer particles. The inkjet dopant composition comprises a dopant dispersed or dissolved in a liquid carrier. Polymer particles at selected areas of the layer of build material are then fused to form a fused polymer layer comprising the dopant. The selected areas of the layer of build material include areas of the layer of build material that have not been printed with the inkjet dopant composition.

Method and system for managing production of molded polyurethane products

The disclosure relates to method and system for managing production of molded polymer or polyurethane products. In the various embodiments, a plurality of autonomous mobile platforms (AMPs) are interchangeably engageable with mold-carrying trolleys to provide self-propelled trolleys. Each self-propelled trolley is advanced through production station(s) and curing station to complete a production cycle. Between production cycles, the trolley may be diverted away for non-production task, e.g. mold replacement, without delaying subsequent or other trolleys. During curing, an AMP may be disengaged from a trolley and redeployed to other trolleys.

Motor vehicle exterior part comprising: a wall comprising a face intended to be visible from outside the vehicle, the face being coated with a first layer; a second layer covering the first layer; and a heating element arranged between the two layers on the first layer, the first layer comprising an area of increased thickness and the heating element being arranged only on the area of increased thickness of the first layer.

Method of preparing low haze polymer compositions for use in high refractive index optical materials

A method of preparing a low bubbling and low yellowing, high refractive index polyurethane or polythiourethane is provided. A method of evaluating an aromatic polyiso(thio)cyanate material, such as an aromatic diisocyanate, e.g., m-xylylene cyanate, is provided. The method evaluates transmittance in a sample of the isocyanate to determine if the aromatic polyiso(thio)cyanate material will lead to unacceptable bubbling or yellowing in a high refractive index or high Abbe number polymer composition.

A method and an equipment for preparing a pultruded polyurethane composite by a polyurethane pultrusion process, and the pultruded polyurethane composite obtained by the method and use thereof are provided.

Three-dimensional printing

A materials kit for three-dimensional (3D) printing can include a powder bed material including from about 60 wt % to 100 wt % composite fibers including glass fibers coated with an encapsulating polymer, wherein the composite fibers have an average length of from about 100 m to about 700 m and an average diameter of from about 20 m to about 70 m. The materials kit for 3D printing can also include a fusing agent including an energy absorber to absorb electromagnetic radiation to produce heat.

Manufacturing method of foam sheet for shoes with TPU powder and recycled PU scrap powder
12359035 · 2025-07-15 · ·

The present invention relates to a manufacturing method for a foam sheet for shoes containing Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) powder and recycled Polyurethane (PU) scrap powder, and for an eco-friendly polyurethane foam composition including water foam, firstly the recycled PU scrap powder is mixed with polyol, and then the processing speed in a process is controlled through a side-feeder to react while adding the TPU powder and recycled PU scrap powder secondarily, thereby preventing a rise in viscosity of the raw material, so that even if a larger amount of recycled materials is used than before, it is possible to form foam sheets for shoes, such as shoe insoles or foam packages for shoe uppers, with the same level of product quality as conventional products.

Jounce bumper of an automotive vehicle suspension system, and method of producing such a jounce bumper
12359703 · 2025-07-15 · ·

A jounce bumper of an automotive vehicle suspension system contains a longitudinal axis. The jounce bumper is configured to resiliently deform between an uncompressed state and a compressed state, where in the compressed state the jounce bumper has a smaller length in the direction of the longitudinal axis than in the uncompressed state. The jounce bumper also contains a base body that acts as a primary spring element, where the base body is partially or completely made of a volume-compressible first material. In particular, the base body further contains at least one secondary spring element integrated within the base body. The secondary spring element is resiliently deformable between a first length in the uncompressed state and a second length in the compressed state, where the second length is smaller than the first length. The secondary spring element is partially or completely made of a compact second material.

Methods for manufacturing footwear stiffeners

A method is provided for making a microcellular shoe stiffener has first and second adhesive layers coextruded on opposite first and second surfaces of a stiffener core. The stiffener core may include a recycled polymeric material. Nitrogen in a supercritical fluid state is introduced into the extruder for the stiffener core to produce a closed cell foam with a gaseous component. The gas reduces the weight and cost of the stiffener without significantly reducing stiffness and resiliency.
