Connector having a connector body conductive member
A connector includes a body having a central bore and a first grounding contact surface, a post disposed within the central bore and having an outwardly projecting flange configured to produce a first portion of a mating interface, and a conductive coupler. The post portion has a tubular sleeve configured to mechanically and electrically engage a prepared end of a coaxial cable. The conductive coupler has an engagement surface at a first end configured to mechanically and electrically engage an interface port, a lip at a second end configured to produce a second portion of the mating interface, and a second grounding contact surface opposing the first grounding contact surface. The first and second portions are configured to slide along the mating interface to rotate about an elongate axis of the connector. The connector includes a conductive ring disposed between the first and second grounding contact surfaces and configured to produce an electrical path between the body and the conductive coupler.
Cluster RF connector with biasing interface
A cluster connector and cluster port for simultaneously engaging multiple RF connectors with a corresponding plurality of RF ports, wherein the cluster port may be coupled to an RF antenna or radio. The cluster port has a plurality of receiving interfaces wherein each of the receiving interfaces has an axial biasing element that enables simultaneous connection with a plurality of coupling interfaces, wherein each of the coupling interfaces is coupled to the end of an RF cable. The cluster connector of the disclosure also enables selective removal, replacement of one RF cable, and the corresponding coupling interface, without impacting other cables/coupling interfaces.
Electrical contact device with interlock
An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical contact device and a second electrical contact device. The first electrical contact device includes at least one first electrical contact and an actuator movable between a first position and a second position. The second electrical contact device includes at least one second electrical contact device and an interlock feature to engage the actuator when the actuator is in the first position. The actuator is in the first position when the first electrical contact is in electrical communication with a power source, and the actuator is in the second position when the electrical communication between the first electrical contact and the power source is disconnected. When the actuator is in the first position and the second electrical contact engage the first electrical contact, the interlock feature engages the actuator, thereby securing the first electrical contact device and the second electrical contact device against disconnection.
Electrical plug with replaceable surge protector
An electrical plug provides protection against electrical surges with a replaceable surge protector cartridge that is readily removable and replaceable along an exterior of the plug. Surge protector circuitry in the cartridge can absorb an electrical surge received at the plug from an electrical mains source, and the electrical plug can maintain electrical continuity from plug prongs to an electrical cord both before and after the surge protector has absorbed an electrical surge.
Quick connecting outlet cover and associated components
An electrical receptacle is provided having electrical connection screws with a shaft, a drive head and an intermediate head. The shaft has a threaded end that is suitable to be selectably turned into the receptacle until electrical wires are pressed between the receptacle and the intermediate head. The drive head is opposite the threaded end of the shaft. A seat is provided between the drive head and intermediate head. A cover is provided having prongs that engage the screws in the seats. The width of the seats provides a lateral tolerance to engagement of the prong and screw. The prongs can be flared at their ends to engage the seat and the prong bodies are held in contact against the seat to provide a secure electrical connection. Electronics can be embedded within the cover so that it glows or shines.
7-pin jumper cables
A jumper cable assembly that comprised of a first jumper unit and a second jumper unit. One jumper cable has a port while another jumper cable has a plug. The plug and the port are designed to be connected to one another. Once the two jumper units are connected to another, a full jumper cable set is formed. Each jumper unit has a positive cable and a negative cable. Each negative cable and positive cable have a clamp connected one of end. The inner surface of each clamp is equipped with teeth.
Plug assembly for power cord
In one embodiment, a power plug assembly includes a plug housing, a set of electrical terminals configured to be inserted into a first set of electrical apertures of a first receptacle of an electrical outlet, a first ground terminal configured to be inserted into a first ground aperture of the first receptacle of the electrical outlet, a second ground terminal configured to be inserted into a second ground aperture of a second receptacle of the electrical outlet, a non-protruding portion configured to abut a second set of electrical apertures of the second receptacle of the electrical outlet, and a cord enveloping wires that extend from the plug housing via a side surface of the plug housing, and wherein the wires are coupled to the set of electrical terminals and the first and second ground terminals.
Low passive intermodulation connector system
A coaxial RF connector system comprises RF connectors with inner and outer conductors providing a galvanic contact. An outer conductor of a first connector has a plurality of longitudinal slits forming a plurality of spring-loaded contact elements which contact a solid outer conductor of a second connector. The first connector has a centering sleeve which is one monolithic part with the outer conductor for centering the solid outer conductor of the second connector. An insulation sleeve is provided between the centering sleeve and the solid outer conductor. This prevents a galvanic contact and improves PIM.
Cables with connector assemblies, filter units configured to releasably couple to the connector assemblies and related methods
The present invention provides target devices such as filter units with at least one receiving channel with a stop surface that is electrically conductive and at least one cable with a connector assembly on a first end portion. The connector assembly includes a first member with an open channel. The first member is coupled to the end portion of the outer conductor with the free end of the inner conductor and the end portion of the dielectric extending through the open channel to reside forward of the first member. The first member resides in a respective one of the at least one receiving channel against the stop surface. The connector assembly also includes second member with an open channel. The second member is slidably coupled to the first end portion of the at least one cable and presses the first member against the stop surface.
Offset electrical adapter
An electrical adapter device including a housing assembly and an internal assembly. The housing assembly includes a base and a cover removably joined together using mechanical fasteners. The internal assembly includes a terminal assembly and a receptacle assembly vertically offset from each other to reduce the strain on the components of the device and reduce the chances of an unintended removal of the device from a power source receptacle or the unintended removal of a power cable plug from the device. A handle is disposed and positioned on the cover to provide a non-conductive, thermoplastic handle which may be formed on the cover above a receptacle assembly (i.e., an upper portion of the cover) and partially integrated with the receptacle housing to provide a stable and safe means to grip the device when plugging into or unplugging from a power source.
