Various configurations of compressible electrical assemblies are disclosed herein. Each variation of the compressible electrical assemblies includes at least one dielectric, an inner conductor and an outer conductor. Each inner and outer conductor may be configured as a compressible contact. One embodiment of a compressible electrical assembly includes an inner compressible contact, and outer compressible contact and a dielectric disposed at least partially between the inner compressible contact and the outer compressible contact. Each compressible contact also has a divaricated-cut section with a plurality of cuts defined by at least one cut angle measured between a pair of opposing inner surfaces.

Electrical coax contact system

An electrical connector including an electrically conductive shell sized to receive and retain an electrically insulating housing insert, where the housing insert includes a cavity for receiving and retaining a wire-terminating electrical contact therein. The shell and housing insert each including keying features designed to cooperate with one another to resist independent rotation of the housing insert within the shell. The electrical connector further includes a wire sealing grommet coupled to the housing insert to improve connector performance and minimize arcing issues.

A coaxial cable connector includes a nut housing having a rearward cable receiving end and a forward end opposite said rearward end, a front nut assembly coupled to the forward end of the nut housing, and a conductive metal tubular insert shaft supported within the nut housing or the front nut assembly. The front nut assembly includes an entry body housing and a conductive terminal pin extending from a forward end of the front nut assembly, and the conductive metal tubular insert shaft has a rearward end portion. A nonconductive plastic tubular support sleeve has a forward end portion coupled with the rearward end portion of the conductive metal tubular insert shaft, a tubular gripping ferrule radially surrounds the metal insert shaft and the plastic support sleeve, and a tubular outer sleeve radially surrounds at least a portion of said gripping ferrule. The gripping ferrule and the tubular outer sleeve are configured to be moved relative to one another in an axial direction such that the gripping ferrule and the tubular outer sleeve are configured to engage one another, thereby causing the gripping ferrule to radially compress around the conductive metal tubular insert shaft and the nonconductive plastic tubular support sleeve.

A ganged connector assembly includes: a plurality of coaxial connectors, each of the coaxial connectors connected with a respective coaxial cable extending rearwardly therefrom, each of the coaxial connectors including an inner contact and an outer body that is electrically separated from the inner contact; a shell having a plurality of cavities; and a plurality of rear bodies, each of the rear bodies encircling a respective outer body, each of the rear bodies mounted in a respective cavity of the shell. Each of the rear bodies includes a first locking feature. A second locking feature is located in each of the cavities and is fixed relative to the shell. The first and second locking features are configured such that rotation of a first of the plurality of rear bodies relative to the shell moves the first rear body between locked and unlocked positions, wherein in the locked position a respective first connector and respective first cable are secured with the shell within a respective cavity, and in the unlocked position the first connector and first cable can be removed from the shell without removing the remaining connectors and cables.

Coaxial cable connector interface for preventing mating with incorrect connector

A 4.3/10 coaxial connector configured to receive a mating 4.3/10 connector includes: an inner contact; a dielectric spacer; and an outer contact, the dielectric spacer separating the inner contact and the outer contact. The outer contact includes an outer wall and a plurality of spring fingers, the spring fingers configured to deflect radially inwardly when the mating 4.3/10 connector is mated. The connector further comprises blocking structure that prevents mating of a Mini-Din connector.

A cable connector includes a housing, a conductive insert affixed within the housing, a first conductive plug, and a second conductive plug. The housing defines a first port, a second port, a third port, and a fourth port. The first conductive plug and the second conductive plug are removably affixed to the housing. The first conductive plug further includes a dust cap and an insulating pin that is rotationally fixed to the dust cap. The first conductive plug provides a single structure that is configured to block moisture and engage the first center conductor against the first end of the conductive insert. Alternatively, the first conductive plug may include a dust cap, an insulator and a pin that are rotationally affixed to one another.

Electrical plug connector and electrical plug connection

An insulation element and an outer conductor, at the end region of which spring lugs for contacting an outer conductor of the mating plug connector are formed. An electrical plug connector for electrically and mechanically connecting to an electrical mating plug connector has an insulation element and an outer conductor contact element, which at least partly surrounds the insulation element. Spring lugs for contacting a corresponding outer conductor of the mating plug connector are formed in the outer conductor contact element. When the plug connector is not plugged together with the mating plug connector, at least one spring lug is spaced apart from the insulation element. When the plug connector is partly plugged together or plugged together with the mating plug connector, the insulation element is centeredly clamped by at least a subset of the spring lugs because of a first element of the mating plug connector, said first element being applied to the outer conductor contact element.

Power adapting device
