Preform extended finish for processing light weight ecologically beneficial bottles
12246877 · 2025-03-11 · ·

Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.

System and method for producing spray foam insulated pipe with channels, tubes or conduits

A length of a main pipe is provided. The main pipe has an internal surface and an external surface. A plurality of channels, tubes or conduits is attached to the external surface of the main pipe and spaced about a circumference thereof. A spray foam insulation is applied to the external surface of the main pipe. Prior to curing the spray foam insulation, a compressive force is applied against an exposed outer surface of the spray foam insulation to prevent a bulge from forming over the channels, tubes or conduits so that the outer surface of the insulation has a uniform radius.

Polyethylene resin multilayer foam sheet, interleaving paper for glass plates, and method for manufacturing polyethylene resin multilayer foam sheet
12275179 · 2025-04-15 · ·

The multilayer foam sheet includes a polyethylene resin foam layer and a resin layer laminated on at least one of the two surfaces of the foam layer. The resin layer has a multilayer structure formed from a surface layer and an intermediate layer. Both the surface layer and the intermediate layer contain a polyethylene resin and a polymeric antistatic agent. The polymeric antistatic agent is contained in the intermediate layer at a proportion of 30-70 wt % (inclusive). The polymeric antistatic agent is contained in the surface layer at a proportion of at least 5 wt % to less than 30 wt %.

Component for a water bearing appliance and method for producing such component

A component for a water bearing appliance, wherein the component comprises a first polymeric material and a second polymeric material. The first polymeric material constitutes the external surface of the component and completely covers the second polymeric material. The first polymeric material and the second polymeric material have different characteristics.

Methods of additive manufacturing of an article corresponding with an array of data values

Methods for additive manufacture of an article corresponding with one or more arrays of data values. The article may include, for example, an optical lens, such as a contact lens or an intraocular lens. The methods include generating an array of data values and emitting droplets of polymerizable mixture in a pattern corresponding with the arrays of data values. After receiving the droplets of polymerizable mixture on a receiving surface, the droplets are integrated and pinned via exposure to actinic conditions. Two or more patterns of droplets may be combined on the receiving surface to form a combined volume of polymerizable mixture and cured.

Polymeric additive manufacturing of an ophthalmic lens

Methods and apparatus for additive manufacture of an article corresponding with an energy transmissibility image. The article may include a contact lens or intraocular lens. The improvements are directed to repeated application of a monomer according to a pattern corresponding with the energy transmissibility image, such as grayscale image. The method may include intermittent pinning of deposited polymerizable mixture, partial cure, and final cure of the deposited polymerizable mixture. A pattern of multiple defined areas may be manufactured, with each area representing an amount of energy transmissibility associated with that area.
