The present invention relates to a band (1) that can be stored in reel format, which has areas coated by a thermally-activatable adhesive material (2) following a coating pattern (3) that is repeated along the band with at least two main transversal strips (5a, 5b) that extend between two longitudinal edges (1c) of the band and that include areas (21) coated with a grammage of thermally-activatable adhesive material between 35 and 130 gr/m.sup.2. A specific use of the band (1) is for making mesh bags (10) and in particular to close a portion of a tubular mesh (11) by interleaving said mesh portion between two coinciding portions of the same or of two bands (1, 1) and with respective main transversal strips (5a, 5a) of the coating pattern (3) towards the mesh; applying pressure; and providing heat.
Incision station for packaging machine and relative incision method
An incision station for making a plurality of weaknesses respectively on a plurality of portions of a web, for producing a plurality of packages each of which including a supporting sheet corresponding to a respective portion of the portions and an opening system corresponding to the weakness made on the respective portion. The station includes a plurality of motor driven incision bodies for making incisions in the respective portion to create the weaknesses. The incision bodies are also controlled to obtain a distance needed to contact the respective portion. This invention also relates to a packaging machine which includes the incision station and a incision method for making the above-mentioned plurality of weaknesses.

One or more implementations of a multi-film thermoplastic structure include a first film having a first appearance in contact with a second film having a second appearance at one or more visually-distinct contact areas. Wherein the one or more visually-distinct contact areas, cause the first film to take on the second appearance of the second film. The visually-distinct contact areas being of a uniform gauge and configured to separate before either of the first film or the second film fails when subjected to peel forces.

Fabric web material and method for the production thereof
A web material made of a woven fabric is divided into web sections by tear lines. The tear lines weaken the web material without causing a complete separation of the web sections from the web material. The web sections are separable from the web material by being torn off along the tear lines. Cuts are formed in the woven fabric along transverse sections of each tear line, the transverse sections running essentially transversely to the longitudinal extension of the web material, which cuts are spaced apart from each other and are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the web material or transversely to the transverse section of the tear line, with the cuts being connected to only one transverse section of the tear line.

A method, a cutting device and an apparatus wherein, at cusp-shaped recesses obtained by die cutting on a ribbon in order to obtain pouches with rounded corners, the ribbon is cut transversely by means of at least two strokes of a blade. A relative translation is performed, between the first stroke and the second stroke, between the cutting plane and the ribbon substantially along a feeding direction of the ribbon, so as to level with the second stroke any cutting defects of the first stroke in the region of the recess.
Hermetic, insecticidal food storage bag, use of it and a method for its production
A crop storage bag (1) made is of a high-strength textile (7) material which is extrusion-coated or laminated with a multilayer film (8) that comprises an insecticidal layer (9) in addition to a hermetic layer (10) which prevents oxygen from entering the bag. This oxygen barrier suffocates the insects inside the bag, and the insecticide kills insects that try to bore through the bag.
