A fishing reel includes a support member, a bail assembly, an input shaft, and a gear box, according to an exemplary embodiment. The bail assembly is coupled with the support member. The bail assembly is configured to retrieve or let out a fishing line. The input shaft is configured to receive an input torque. The gear box is configured to be driven by the input shaft and drive the bail assembly to retrieve the fishing line. The input shaft is configured to receive the input torque in a clockwise direction and drive the bail assembly to operate in a counter-clockwise direction to retrieve the fishing line.

A fishing reel can include a cage assembly defining an opening to removably receive a spool and a spool positioned in the cage assembly operable to rotate about an axis of rotation. The reel can also include a crank coupled to the cage assembly and operable to rotate the spool when the crank is rotated. The reel can also include a braking assembly removably positioned on a side of the cage assembly opposite to the crank, the braking assembly including at least one magnet, the magnet having an arcuate shape that spans a braking arc length concentric with the axis of rotation, the braking arc length defined by an arc measure of at least about 90°.

A method(s) for controlling electronic alarm for a fishing reel and an electronic alarm system(s) for a fishing reel are provided. The method includes the steps of: detecting a current point based on rotational movement of the fishing reel; determining whether a button provided in the fishing reel is pressed for a first period of time; memorizing a current point at a time when the button is pressed for the first period of time as a target point; during a fishing line casting period after the casting period that the target point is memorized, detecting a current point based on rotational movement of the fishing reel; determining whether a current point is the target point; and sounding an arrival alarm by the buzzer when the current point is the target point.

A reel suitable for bow fishing and the like provides a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow. An optional guide arm may be used to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. A fishing spinning reel is configured such that a handle is attachable to and detachable from a reel body. The fishing apparatus includes: a fishing rod having a reel and a motor connected with the reel; a brainwave collection unit arranged to collect a brainwave signal from a user of the fishing apparatus; and a control unit arranged to receive the brainwave signal collected by the brainwave collection unit. The apparatus generates a motor control signal according to the brainwave signal and transmits the motor control signal to the motor. The motor drives the reel to rotate under the control of the motor control signal. The fishing apparatus and the method for controlling the same as provided by the present disclosure are easy to use and labor-saving.

A fishing apparatus and a method for controlling the same. The fishing apparatus includes: a fishing rod having a reel and a motor connected with the reel; a brainwave collection unit arranged to collect a brainwave signal from a user of the fishing apparatus; and a control unit arranged to receive the brainwave signal collected by the brainwave collection unit. A fishing line spooling assembly includes a bracket that can be positioned on a support surface and a pair of panels attached to the bracket. A first screw is extendable through each of the panels to rotatably retain a spool of fishing line between the panels. A window is slidable into each of the panels such that the window defines a front threshold of a spool space defined between the panels. The window has a line hole extending through the window thereby facilitating fishing line on the spool of fishing line to be extended through the line hole thereby facilitating the fishing line to be wound around a reel of a fishing pole. A pair of second screws is each coupled to and extends upwardly from the lower portion of the bracket thereby facilitating a respective spool of fishing line positioned on the second screws for storage.

A reel and mounting fixture suitable for bowfishing and the like provides a reel with a cowling covering a reel with a wide opening to reduce frictional restraint on high-speed paying out of the line with the flight of the arrow and a guide arm supported by the mounting fixture to minimize line diversion and hence friction during line payout while absorbing forces when the line is retracted permitting use of a lighter cowling design without loss of strength. The guide arm is fixed to the mounting fixture using a notched guide arm engaging with a lever of the mounting fixture.

The fishing line guide includes a ring holding portion and a first support leg portion extending from the ring holding portion. The ring holding portion includes an inner peripheral portion, an outer peripheral portion, and an annular portion extending in a circumferential direction between the inner and outer peripheral portions. The ring holding portion is coupled to a guide ring at the inner peripheral portion. The first support leg portion has a pair of lateral surfaces connecting with the outer peripheral portion. The ring holding portion includes a pair of twisted portions which form a portion of the outer peripheral portion and a portion of the annular portion and are twisted respectively from the annular portion toward the lateral surfaces of the first support leg portion to the outer peripheral portion.
