Chopping and slicing knife
A cutlery device includes a blade with an attached handle. Two longitudinal edges of the rectangular blade include a sharpened edge and a non-sharpened spine on the opposite side. The blade has a rectangular fence extending substantially perpendicularly from one or both (opposite) sides of the spine, and extending to the distal end. In one form the fence curves around onto the distal end of the blade. A hole or aperture may be provided in the blade to allow transfer of prepared foods. The fence may be integral with the blade and spine, may be permanently secured to the blade, or may exist as a separate part that may be attached to and removed from the blade.
KNIFE WITH AN INTEGRAL ANGLE-ASSIST JIG PORTION
Various embodiments for a knife having a bolster angle assist bevel that eliminates the need for an external jig are disclosed herein. The knife includes a blade extending from a bolster in which the blade defines first and second blade ends with a spine that extends between the first blade end and the second blade end. The blade forms a primary bevel that transitions into a secondary bevel that forms a cutting edge. In addition, the bolster forms an integral bolster angle-assist jig portion having a flat, beveled angled surface configured for establishing a sharpening angle relative to a sharpening stone when sharpening the cutting edge of the blade.
KNIFE ATTACHMENT TO PREVENT FOOD FROM STICKING
The knife attachment to prevent food from sticking is configured for use with a knife blade. The knife attachment to prevent food from sticking is a non-stick structure. A first instantiation of the knife attachment to prevent food from sticking attaches to the face of the blade with the greatest surface area. An optional second instantiation of the knife attachment to prevent food from sticking attaches to the face of the blade with the second greatest surface area. The knife attachment to prevent food from sticking attaches to the blade such that the knife attachment to prevent food from sticking presents a non-stick surface as the exterior surface of the blade. The knife attachment to prevent food from sticking further comprises a scraping structure. The scraping structure facilitates the movement of an object, such as a foodstuff, along a horizontal surface.
