KNIFE APPARATUS WITH INTERCHANGEABLE BLADES
Knives configured to use interchangeable blades, blades for those knives, and methods of making an using the knives and blades are disclosed. One knife includes a latch assembly that retains a blade in a slot of the latch assembly using a dual-stage locking mechanism wherein two different latches must be operated to exchange the blade in the slot. One latch is a button that translates a pin through the slot, and the other latch is a rocker lever that rotates into and out of contact with a notch, recess, or groove in the blade. The first latch controls movement of the second latch in order to help avoid inadvertent removal or dislodgement of the blade. Some blades include multiple notches or recesses so that they provide multiple points of contact that resist translation and rotation of the blade out of the slot, even when subjected to unusually-directed forces.
TACTICAL KNIFE
The knife includes a handle portion attached to a blade with a tip at its distal end. The blade comprises four surfaces that converge to form a spine and opposing cutting edges with each surface having a concave segment, a first angled segment, a flat segment, and a second angled segment as the surface extends from the spine to the edge. Similarly, the tip includes four surfaces that converge and terminate at a point, with each surface comprising only an angled segment. Optionally, the knife includes a unique safety lanyard that has two attachment points on the handle such that a closed loop is adjustably formed around the user's hand when gripping the handle, which aids in withdrawing the knife, stabilizing the user's grip, and preventing the hand from sliding forward while in use. Optionally, the knife includes a thumb plate as an additional safeguard.
KNIFE WITH LASER ENGRAVED FISHSCALE LINES
A knife with laser engraved fishscale lines includes a knife body and a knife handle, and the knife body is a sheet member and has a cutting edge, a spine and two blade surfaces, and the blade surfaces are polished mirror surfaces, and the blade surface has the laser engraved fishscale lines which are indented lines indented into the blade surface, and the knife handle is combined with an end of the knife body, so that the knife has the effects of showing obvious laser engraved lines, lowering manufacturing cost, and preventing food sticking.

Bra with a pocket
An article of clothing providing a pocket for safely and securing concealing a self-defense device in an easily accessible location. The article of clothing may be a bra or tank-top having a pocket or sheath made of a cut-resistant material and configured for removably securing a knife or dagger. The pocket may also be configured to removably secure an aerosol canister containing a chemistry configured to deter an attacker, such as pepper spray. In one embodiment, the article of clothing is a bra with a pocket position between the two cups of the bra. The pocket is configured to removably secure a sheath made of a cut-resistant material, wherein the sheath is configured to removably secure a knife or dagger.
REPLACEABLE BLADE KNIFE
Replaceable blade knives have an elongated body having opposed ends, a handle portion extending to a handle end of the elongated body, and a blade attachment facility at an opposed forward end of the elongated body, the blade attachment facility having a blade support surface configured to abut a major face portion of the planar blade proximate the elongated aperture, an elongated boss sized to closely receive the elongated aperture of the planar blade, the elongated boss defining an undercut configured to receive a blade portion at the constriction to prevent separation of the planar blade from the blade support surface when the planar blade is in an installed condition with the elongated boss received in the elongated aperture, and a movable ejector element connected to the elongated body and operable to engage the rear end of the planar blade to eject the planar blade from the holder.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A KNIFE BLADE AND KNIFE BLADE
A method of manufacturing a knife blade includes preparing a blade preform of a first material, depositing a second material which is harder than the first material on an edge of the blade preform by arc welding, and sharpening the deposited second material to prepare a knife blade with a sharp edge. A knife blade is also provided and includes a blade section of a first material, and an edge of the blade section is provided with an arc welded layer of a second material which is shaped as a sharp edge, where the second material is harder than the first material.

Coating For Cutting Implement
A cutting implement including a metal substrate and a coating is provided. The coating has zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO), which provides protection against corrosion of the metal substrate. In some instances, the zirconium PVD provides protection from corrosion for at least 200 hours. A layer of titanium nitride (TiN) can be added to the coating to increase the hardness of the metal substrate. In such an embodiment, the layer of titanium nitride (TiN) is applied before the zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO). Titanium nitride (TiN) coated steel is 3 to 5 times harder than uncoated steel. Thus, a combination of titanium nitride (TiN) and zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO) as a coating on a metal substrate can increase the life of the metal substrate by providing increased hardness and anti-corrosive properties.
Coating For Cutting Implement
A cutting implement including a metal substrate, carbide edge(s), and coating is provided. The coating is zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO), which provides protection against corrosion of the metal substrate. In some instances, the zirconium PVD provides protection from corrosion for at least 200 hours. A layer of carbide can be added to one or more cutting edges of the metal substrate prior to the deposition of the coating. The carbide increases the sharpness of the cutting edges and therefore increases the life or longevity of the cutting edges. Thus, a combination of zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO) as a coating and carbide edges on a metal substrate can increase the life of the metal substrate by providing increased hardness, sharpness, and anti-corrosive properties.
