METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF PRODUCTS MADE FROM FIBROUS MATERIAL AND DISPOSABLE PRODUCTS MANUFACTURED ACCORDING TO THE METHOD
A method for manufacturing a product, such a disposable cutlery, manufactured of a fibre material, includes feeding fibrous material as a material flow, binding the fibres into a coherent profile, and molding the cross-sectional profile of the profile into a blank with a desired cross-sectional profile using at least one roller pair or drum pair. The method further includes cutting products of the desired shape from the molded blank by aligning a cutting geometry of the products at the desired place on the blank.
Cutlery implement with continuous longitudinal ridge
A cutlery implement or cutting instrument having a blade with opposed side surfaces, a knife edge extending along one terminal edge of the blade, and a narrow continuous longitudinally extending ridge of either hemispherical cross-sectional shape or rectangular cross-sectional shape extending along a pre-determined length of the knife edge at a pre-determined continuous spaced distance from the knife edge. The rectangular cross-sectional shape includes fillets on each opposite side thereof for providing a smooth transition to the blade surface. The narrow longitudinally extending ridge protrudes from at least one or both of the opposed side surfaces of the blade.

Coating for cutting implement
A cutting implement including a metal substrate and a coating is provided. The coating has zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO), which provides protection against corrosion of the metal substrate. In some instances, the zirconium PVD provides protection from corrosion for at least 200 hours. A layer of titanium nitride (TiN) can be added to the coating to increase the hardness of the metal substrate. In such an embodiment, the layer of titanium nitride (TiN) is applied before the zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO). Titanium nitride (TiN) coated steel is 3 to 5 times harder than uncoated steel. Thus, a combination of titanium nitride (TiN) and zirconium PVD (ZrCRTiNO) as a coating on a metal substrate can increase the life of the metal substrate by providing increased hardness and anti-corrosive properties.
Folding Knife With Tape Cutter
A handheld tool includes a handle portion and a knife portion. The handle portion has a first distal end and a second distal end opposite the first distal end. The knife portion is coupled to the first distal end of the handle portion, and the knife portion has a sharp blade. The second distal end of the handle portion is configured with a dull blade.
Drywall knife
A utility knife, a blade member for use therewith, and a method of using the same; The knife has an ergonomically designed, symmetrical handle with resilient grips for a user's palm and fingers provided on opposing top and bottom walls of the housing. The blade member has two opposed cutting surfaces aligned with the housings top and bottom walls. A tape engagement clip is provided on a leading end of the knife and secures a free end of a measuring tape to the knife. The knife may be gripped and used in two different orientations located 180 degrees apart. The tape engagement clip pivots to enable the free end of the measuring tape to be secured to the knife regardless of which cutting surface is used to cut an article. Alternatively, the clip may be moved to the opposing side wall of the knife.
Internal Gradient Materials, Implements and Methods
An implement including a first plate and a second plate, each plate having a contact surface which abuts a contact surface of the other plate to establish an interface plane, and a gradient of at least one additive that is more concentrated at the interface plane and less concentrated in decreasing amounts progressing away from the interface plane and the contact surface for each plate, wherein the at least one additive alters at least one property of each plate. Materials with internal gradients and methods of making same.

Knife with ricasso angle assist bevel
A knife may include a blade having first and second blade ends. A blade point may be disposed at the second blade end. A spine may be disposed between the first blade end and the second blade end. A cutting edge may oppose the spine. A primary bevel may be disposed between the spine and the cutting edge. A secondary bevel may be disposed between the primary bevel and the cutting edge. The secondary bevel may include a secondary bevel start line parallel to the spine and along a first longitudinal axis. A ricasso may be positioned at the first blade end adjacent to the cutting edge, the ricasso including a ricasso angle assist bevel. The ricasso angle assist bevel may include a ricasso angle assist bevel start line along a second longitudinal axis, wherein the second longitudinal axis is closer to the spine than the first longitudinal axis.
