Provided are multifunctional folding knives for quick access to the blade and conveniently tool-securing accessory thereto. The knife comprises a blade and a handle pivotally connected to the blade. A cutout is disposed on a spine of the blade. Two or more holes are disposed in opposite relation around the cutout. A tool-securing accessory is removably secured on a spine of the blade. The tool-securing accessory comprises a base plate. A magnet is disposed in the base plate. A flange is disposed along a distal edge of an upper surface of the base plate and forming a concave opening. A semi-collar comprising a pair of arms is pivotally secured on the flange configured to switch between a locked position and an unlocked position. Two or more posts are perpendicularly disposed on the base plate to removably engage the two or more holes on the spine of the blade.

An outdoor tool with multiple functions may comprise a handle, a spring clip, a blade, a cover and a flint rod. When the blade is in a folded position, it is coupled with the spring clip, and an actuating segment of the spring clip can tightly clamp the blade. The fob casing includes a slot intercepting one short side and the razor blade embedded inside the fob casing is positioned so that its sharpened blade edge intercepts the slot at an angle a distance from the mouth or opening of the slot. A suitable opening is included in the fob casing to support a key ring, lanyard, or other supporting axillary device.

The device includes scissor arms, each having a cutting edge at a front end, an opposed rear end, and a grip extending between the front end and the rear end. The scissor arms are mounted within the housing for scissored movement with respect to each other and for reciprocal movement with respect to the housing between a forward position in which the cutting edges are advanced out of the mouth and a retracted position in which the cutting edges are retracted within the mouth.

A knife, components thereof, a sheath therefor, and associated methods. The sheath may be releasably retainable on the blade by engagement of connection structure of the sheath and blade formed by inserting the blade into the sheath. The blade may include a bottle opener. The knife may include a finger recess adapted to receive a finger of a user when the knife is gripped by the user. The knife may be an ulu knife.

A tool having a detectable wireless marker or tag is provided. The tool has a working portion with a projection or tang by which the working portion of the tool is held, a wireless tag located on, but insulated from the tang, and a handle disposed over and encompassing the projection or tang and the wireless tag. In an exemplary embodiment, the wireless tag is insulated from the tang using a housing assembly made up of an inner holder, an outer holder, and the detectable wireless tag positioned between the inner and outer holders. The invention allows for the use of fragile markers or tags, which are protected by the housing assembly from temperatures and pressures used during, for example, tool handle manufacturing processes. Also provided is a method for providing a tool with a detectable wireless tag, and a method for tracking and tracing tools used within a packaging facility.
