CUTTING JIG AND CUTTING METHOD OF OPTICAL FIBER
A cutting jig includes a fixing member for inserting a distal end portion of an optical fiber, and an inclination cutting unit movable with respect to the fixing member for cutting the distal end portion. The distal end portion is defined into a proximal end portion and a free end portion. The inclination cutting unit includes a one end edge of a closing plate and a blade portion incapable of relative movement to each other. The inclination cutting unit can perform a first movement and a second movement that is a greater movement amount than the first movement. The one end edge is brought into contact with the free end portion based on the first movement, and the free end portion moves to be inclined with respect to an extension line EL. A blade edge is brought into contact with the free end portion based on the second movement.
Self-propelled drive and cutter using same
A self-propelled cutter has a gear assembly to provide both downward and forward force on a material to be cut. A gear assembly includes a drive input gear that engages with a transfer gear and propulsion gear engaged with the transfer gear by a lever arm. The drive gear and transfer gear are coupled and fixed to the cutter body but the propulsion gear rotates about the transfer gear via the lever arm. This gear assembly enables the propulsion gear to move as required to provide both downward and forward force on a material to be cut, such as a cast. A self-propelled cutter may have a drive input that is coupled with a drive input device, such as a crank or an electric motor. A cutter may have a first gear assembly on a first side of the cutter body and a second gear assembly on a second side.

Tool for removing a head assembly or a knot of a tie secured around an object
A tool for removing a head or knot of a cable bundling device includes a housing, an opening, and a cutting element disposed within the opening. The housing defines the opening and a funneling element is position within the opening to direct the object to be cut towards an exposed cutting edge of the cutting element. The opening and funneling element are sized and arranged to accommodate the head or knot of the cable device while preventing any undesirable articles from being exposed to the cutting edge. The funneling element includes a wedge shape to prove improved access between the cable tie and the cutting edge.
Garments and other items incorporating line-cutting devices
Line cutters that may be incorporated into other items, such as garments or paddles. A garment that incorporates a line-cutting trim component allows a wearer to easily cut line or cord while fishing or engaging in other activities. The trim component includes a housing with an opening, and a line cutter partially extending into the opening. The trim component can be secured to the garment using a rivet, or sewn onto the garment. In another example, a paddle may incorporate a line cutter as part of a spring clip used to secure together the tubes of a multi-piece paddle.

COATING STRIPPING DEVICE AND COATING STRIPPING METHOD USING THE SAME
A coating stripping device includes a rotation driving tool and a coating stripping tool. A rotating disk of the rotation driving tool includes a first rotating disk having a projection, and a second retaining member of the coating stripping tool has a feather-shaped part. The coating stripping tool in the released state is attached to the second rotating disk and the first rotating disk rotates in a predetermined direction to bring the feather-shaped part into contact with the projection, thereby switching the coating stripping tool into the retained state, and when the coating stripping tool is in the retained state, the first rotating disk rotates in a direction opposite to the predetermined direction to bring the feather-shaped part into contact with the projection, thereby switching the coating stripping tool into the released state.
CONFIGURABLE HERB GRINDER
A configurable herb grinder that is operable to provide grinding of a desired herb wherein the configurable herb grinder of the present invention includes a first configuration and a second configuration. The configurable herb grinder of the present invention includes a first grinding member module and a second grinding member module that are rotatably coupled and arranged in a vertically stacked orientation. The herb grinder further includes a container member module and a bottom member module that are beneath the first grinding member module and the second grinding member module in a vertically stacked orientation. The first grinding member module and the second grinding member module comprise the upper portion of the herb grinder and the container member module and the bottom member module comprise the lower portion. The herb grinder is configured to interchange the upper portion and lower portion utilizing latches and latch receptacles.
Cutting device
A cutting device is disclosed. The cutting device has a body member formed from a first material and including a cavity extending along a length of the body member from a first end of the body member to a second end of the body member that is disposed on an opposite side of the body member as the first end, a cutting assembly formed from a second material and attached to the body member, the cutting assembly including a protrusion, and a cutting member disposed on the cutting assembly. The body member includes an aperture extending from the cavity to a third end of the body member that is disposed between the first and second ends. The cutting assembly is attached to the body member based on the protrusion being received in the aperture. The first material is more flexible than the second material.
Package Opening Device
The package opening device generally comprises a body portion, neck portion, and cutting member. In a preferred embodiment, the body portion comprises an elongated ovular configuration. The body portion comprises an upper surface and a lower surface. Adjacent to a distal end of the body portion is a through opening penetrating the upper and lower surfaces. Adjacent to a proximal end of the body portion, the upper surface comprises a recessed area. The neck portion extends from the proximal end of the body portion. Extending downward from a neck portion proximal end is the cutting member. The cutting member comprises a tapered tip.
