An eye model comprises a sclera simulation which is made of a bright plastic material and a pattern which contrasts in color with the sclera simulation, the pattern simulating an eye pupil and/or an iris structure. The eye model is used to calibrate an eye tracking system.

Disclosed are a round knife, a cutting assembly, and a method for cutting tire components wherein the round knife includes a carrier that is rotatable about a rotation axis (X) and a plurality of first edge segments which are arranged to be mounted side-by-side in a circumferential direction (G) about the rotation axis (X) to the carrier to form a circular cutting edge (E) extending concentrically about the rotation axis (X), wherein the segment body is arranged to be spaced apart from the carrier in the radial direction (R) at the center between the first lateral side and the second lateral side.

A device for slitting a tubular workpiece into strips includes radially disposed cutting members. The device may include a tapered infeed mandrel for maintaining tension on the tubular workpiece being slit and optionally an exit mandrel. In embodiments, the position of the radially disposed cutting members may be adjustable.

A cable sheath slitting tool comprising first and second opposing tool frame members wherein at least a portion of the tool frame members are movable toward and away from one another, a pair of opposing blades securable on the respective tool frame member, the blades having a blade tip extending toward each other and are movable toward and away from each other and a first and second tray securable on the first and second tool frame member, respectively, each of the first and second trays including a tray cavity wherein a cable may be secured in the cavity with the blade positioned to slit the cable when the tool is in a closed position with the tool frame member portions toward one another.

An apparatus for cutting a whole tire into strips may include a cutting device having a first rotary blade and a second rotary blade. The tire is positioned between the first rotary blade and the second rotary blade, which cut the tire into one or more strips. The apparatus may further include a positioning system operable to orient the tire between a plurality of vertical, horizontal, and intermediate positions, relative to the cutting device. A skiver for precise removal of outside material from an elongated device, such as a medical catheter or the like, includes a longitudinal recess in a surface and a transverse replaceable blade therein. A removable cover holds the blade in place. In some embodiments, the skiver has a handle extending from the skiver. In other embodiments, an automated mechanism is used to move the elongated device through the skiver.

Process for cutting a water-soluble web in a cross-machine direction. Each cutting cycle contains at least two speeds. A first speed matches that of the speed of the water-soluble web and is also the speed at the point of cutting, and a second speed is faster than the speed of the water-soluble web in the machine direction and is the speed at a point in-between two cutting actions.

A stitch ripping assembly for hands free stitch ripping includes a base that is positionable on a support surface. The base is rounded and is elongated along a longitudinal axis such that the base has an ovoid shape. Additionally, the base has a prominence extending upwardly therefrom. A gripping pad is coupled to the base and the gripping pad is comprised of an adhesive material to inhibit the base from sliding on the support surface. A stitch ripper is pivotally coupled to the base. The stitch ripper is positionable to extend upwardly from the base at a plurality of angles. In this way the stitch ripper can rip stitches without being held by a user.
