Combination printer and cutting apparatus

A combination printer and cutting device for printing upon and cutting a web of media or tag stock into individual units. The device may cut vinyl, plastic, or RFID stock material as it moves through the printer in both back and forth directions. The device comprises a printer and a cutting apparatus that is further comprised of a carriage assembly and a movable cutter assembly. The cutter assembly is easily interchangeable and comprises a cutting element such as a wheel blade, and a pressure adjusting element for adjusting the amount of pressure applied by the cutting element to the stock material. Alternatively, the cutter assembly may be manufactured with a predetermined pressure load, but still permit an operator to adjust the depth of cut. The cutting apparatus is adaptable for use with both new and existing printers.

Ultrasonic cutting system and method

Systems and methods include using an ultrasonic cutter tool to cut a seal. The system comprises an ultrasonic cutter tool disposed onto a railing system coupled to a platform, wherein the ultrasonic cutter tool is configured to translate along the railing system. The system further comprises a power source electrically coupled to the ultrasonic cutter tool, and an alignment mold disposed parallel to the railing system and offset by a distance. The system further comprises one or more roller bearing carriages coupled to the railing system, wherein each of the one or more roller bearing carriages comprises a set of roller bearings, wherein each set of roller bearings is disposed over the alignment mold, wherein each set of roller bearings is configured to translate along the alignment mold as each of the one or more roller bearing carriages translates along the railing system.

An electrically-operated slice-cutting machine for cutting slices offin particular, strand-shapedmaterial to be cutpreferably, foodincludes: a machine housing which holds a drive motor and a rotating and/or circumferentially-movable cutting blade driven by the drive motor; a product feed for feeding the material to be cut to the cutting blade; a carrier plate; and a cutting frame arranged on the carrier plate and via which the material to be cut is fed to the cutting blade. The cutting frame is geometrically arranged such that the material to be cut is feedable by the product feed through the cutting frame to the cutting blade in an operating state of the slice-cutting machine. The slice-cutting machine has at least a first and a second lever element for releasably fixing the cutting frame, each of the two lever elements being transferrable from a holding position into a release position.

Substrate cutting device

A substrate cutting device includes: a base portion; a stage on the base portion; a partition member spaced from the stage; and an exhausting structure below the cell substrate and configured to exhaust a gaseous substance. The stage has a top surface configured to support a cell substrate and a connection surface perpendicular to the top surface, and the partition member faces the connection surface and is configured to support the cell substrate.

A method for creating and using a repositionable adhesive coated slip sheet is described herein. This repositionable adhesive coated slip sheet attaches to a worktable and temporarily anchors a substrate and its cutouts while the substrate is cut. The method principally comprises the steps of placing a layer of adhesive onto the top surface of a binding layer, placing the binding layer onto a worktable, placing a substrate onto the layer of adhesive, cutting the substrate with a blade, and then removing the cut substrate from the layer of adhesive, wherein the parts cut therefrom are prevented from moving, slipping, or falling off of the worktable during the cutting process. This allows the substrate and the cutouts cut therefrom to be removed from the worktable at the completion of the cutting process without damage to the worktable, cutter, or substrate.
