MONOBLOCK SENSOR BODY AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURING
A monoblock sensor body of a load cell based on an electromagnetic force compensation mechanism has a Roberval mechanism. Mounting portions mount the fixed column to a housing side of a weighing module, and mount a load receiving member to the movable column. At least one of the mounting portions has at least one mounting hole that extends predominantly orthogonal to the load direction. One of the flexure point sections is closest to the mounting hole. A cavity associated with at least one of the mounting portions reduces an available solid angle for straight propagation paths that run from the inner thread to one or more of: the closest flexure point section, the coupling and the closest fulcrum. A material boundary of the body closes the cavity over at least a bridging width versus the height-side end of the body corresponding to the closest flexure point section.
Ampule breaking aid
The invention relates to an ampule breaking aid for a glass ampule having a predetermined breaking point between a head portion and a use portion, said ampule breaking aid having a base body that receives the use portion, and a cap that overlaps the head portion, wherein the cap is supported on the base body, in particular is supported in an unconnected manner and wherein the cap and the base body, especially at the front surfaces; thereof facing one another form a pivot bearing having an axis of rotation that substantially passes through the predetermined breaking point.
Optical fiber cutting knife
The present disclosure provides an optical fiber cutting knife, including: a cutting tool post, a head cover, a fiber placing groove, a blade guide rail, and a blade fixed on the blade guide rail, at least a first magnet of a first polarity installed in the blade guide rail, and at least a second magnet of a first polarity and at least a third magnet of a second polarity installed on the cutting tool post, the head cover being installed on the cutting tool post, the fiber placing groove being installed inside the cutting tool post, and the blade guide rail being placed on an outside of the cutting tool post. The first magnet moves from a location corresponding to a second magnet to a location corresponding to a third magnet to form an automatic blade-retracting mechanism to automatically reset a position of the blade guide rail.
Connecting rod cracking mandrel
Exemplary connecting rod cracking mandrels and methods are disclosed. A mandrel may include a pair of jaw elements slidably mounted relative to one another and separated from each other. Each one of the jaw elements has a pair of opposing side portions and a center portion disposed between the opposing side portions. Each one of the side portions is configured to contact an inner diameter surface of a bore of a connecting rod when the jaws are moved away from one another within the bore so as to break the connecting rod. The center portion is configured to be spaced apart from the inner diameter surface of the bore when the jaws are moved away from one another within the bore, such that the opposing side portions contact the connecting rod bore.
ROTATABLE MANIFOLD CUTTER FOR USE IN PORTIONING
Portioning system 10 includes a scanner 200 for scanning work products 13 being carried on the conveyor 12. A cutter system 17 includes an array or manifold cutter 18 and single cutter 19 for cutting the work products into desired sized end pieces. The cutter assemblies 18 and 19 are carried on respective carriages 16 and 26 to move the cutters as required along predetermined cutting paths as controlled by control system 220.
Fluid nozzle
A fluid nozzle includes a nozzle chip that includes a through hole having an inlet port from which a fluid supplied to the fluid nozzle is introduced and an outlet port from which the introduced fluid is ejected; and a base metal member that supports the nozzle chip embedded in a rear portion of the base metal member. The fluid nozzle receives the fluid supplied to the rear portion from the inlet port and ejects the fluid from the outlet port. An exposed portion of the base metal member is covered with a ceramic coating so that the base metal member does not touch the fluid.
Pump systems and associated methods for use with waterjet systems and other high pressure fluid systems
High pressure pump systems with reduced pressure ripple for use with waterjet systems and other systems are described herein. A pump system configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes four reciprocating members operably coupled to a crankshaft at 90 degree phase angles. The reciprocating members can include plungers operably disposed in corresponding cylinders and configured to compress fluid (e.g., water) in the cylinders to pressures suitable for waterjet processing, such as pressures exceeding 30,000 psi.
METHODS OF BORONIZING SINTERED BODIES AND TOOLS FOR COLD FORMING OPERATIONS AND HOLLOW WEAR PARTS WITH BORONIZED SINTERED BODIES
Provided is a wear resistant, sintered body made of a binderless carbide, cermet or cemented carbide, e.g., WC, W2C and/or eta-phase, with a grain size less than 6.0 μm, and less than 6% binder phase (e.g., Co—Ni—Fe). At least some working surfaces of the sintered body are surface treated with a boron yielding method including applying a low viscosity liquid medium having boron or aluminum content and heating at 1200° C. to 1450° C. under a pressure less than atmospheric pressure or a hydrogen containing atmosphere to from a hardness gradient with an increased hardness of the treated working surfaces of at least 50 to 200 HV5 and favorable compressive stresses in a surface zone that gives a tougher working surfaces of the boronized sintered bodies.
Manufacturing methods for multi-lobed cooling holes
A method for producing a diffusion cooling hole extending between a wall having a first wall surface and a second wall surface includes forming a cooling hole inlet at the first wall surface, forming a cooling hole outlet at the second wall surface, forming a metering section downstream from the inlet and forming a multi-lobed diffusing section between the metering section and the outlet. The inlet, outlet, metering section and multi-lobed diffusing section are formed by laser drilling, particle beam machining, fluid jet guided laser machining, mechanical machining, masking and combinations thereof.
Machine with interchangeable tools for the working of sheet materials
An apparatus for working a sheet material has a supporting frame, a supporting head connected to the supporting frame, a plurality of tools supported on a working device, a waterjet cutter, first and second male fast-couplers, and first and second female fast-couplers disposed on the supporting head. The first male fast-coupler is disposed on the working device. The second male fast-coupler is disposed on the waterjet cutter. The first and second female couplers are configured to alternately couple the first and second male fast-couplers.
