Medical device
The invention relates to a medical device with a machine element mounted so as to be linearly movable and at least one linear guide, comprising at least one ball bearing and defining a longitudinal axis, for guiding a linear movement of the machine element parallel to the longitudinal axis, said at least one ball bearing comprising a plurality of balls which are movably held in corresponding ball holders and which guide the machine element, wherein the plurality of ball holders are constructed in the form of elongated holes.
Surgical saw assembly including a surgical saw blade assembly having an oscillating blade
A sagittal saw assembly including a handpiece and a blade assembly. The blade assembly may comprise a static guide bar, a blade and a drive member, that when actuated, oscillates the blade. The blade may further comprise teeth that extend distally from the static guide bar, the teeth adapted to form a kerf in tissue against which the teeth are pressed. The static guide bar may be dimensioned to fit into the kerf formed in the tissue cut by the teeth. The static guide bar may comprise a thickness dependent on a length of the static guide bar. The blade assembly may be configured such that blade may be the only oscillating component of the blade assembly to provide a generally constant mass moment of inertia irrespective of the mass and/or length of the static guide bar.
PERCUSSIVE MASSAGE DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A percussive massage device that includes a housing, an electrical source, a motor positioned in the housing, a switch for activating the motor, and a push rod assembly operatively connected to the motor and configured to reciprocate in response to activation of the motor. The housing includes first, second and third handle portions that cooperate to define a handle opening, wherein the first handle portion defines a first axis, the second handle portion defines a second axis and the third handle portion defines a third axis, and wherein the first, second and third axes cooperate to form a triangle.
Articulating oscillating power tool
An oscillating power tool includes a drive motor producing rotary motion and an actuator for converting the motor rotary motion to an oscillatory side-to-side movement. The power tool includes a tool mount operably driven by the actuator and configured to support the tool so that the working end is substantially collinear and/or coplanar with the axis of the motor drive shaft.
Power tool
It is an object of the invention to increase the degree of freedom in designing a power tool. A representative power tool has a spindle that transmits a driving force of a motor to a tool accessory, a tool accessory holding member that is configured to be movable in a direction of a spindle rotation axis direction between a holding position for holding the tool accessory and a releasing position for releasing the tool accessory, a lock mechanism that locks the tool accessory holding member in the holding position, and a body housing. The lock mechanism is disposed between a second end of the spindle and a wall of the body housing in the spindle rotation axis direction.
Oscillating tool with modified mounting interface for increasing cut depth
An accessory tool for an oscillating tool includes a first metal plate and a second metal plate fixed together to form a body having a first end portion formed by the first metal plate and a second end portion formed by the second metal plate. The first end portion defines a linear cutting edge, and the second end portion defines a drive interface for mounting the accessory tool onto a tool holder of an oscillating tool. The second metal plate includes an overlapping portion that overlaps a portion of the first metal plate. At least one of a first lateral portion and a second lateral portion of a leading edge of the overlapping portion is spaced farther away from the cutting edge than a central portion of the leading edge of the overlapping portion.
HYBRID SAW BLADE
A surgical saw blade including a cutting edge, blade body and a coupling for connecting the blade body to a handpiece. The blade body at least partially includes a composite material that helps to confer optimal weight and rigidity to the saw blade to allow for minimal vibration during use and minimal mechanical load on the handpiece.
Blade and blade attachment system for an oscillating tool
A handheld oscillating tool includes a blade attachment system having a tool mounting portion configured to enable the tool mounting portion to be releasably secured to a tool holder of an oscillating tool such that the blade attachment system oscillates with the tool holder and a blade mounting portion configured to releasably retain a blade with a planar body of the blade arranged substantially perpendicular to the oscillation axis and with one of the leading edge and the trailing edge of the blade positioned forwardly with respect to the tool mounting portion.
BLADE CLAMP FOR RECIPROCATING SAW
A blade clamp, for use with a power tool having a reciprocating spindle, includes a cover rotatably coupled to the spindle and a detent received within a bore of the spindle. The detent is movable in a radial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the spindle to adjust the blade clamp between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. The cover is rotatable between a first rotational position relative to the spindle coinciding with the locked configuration, and a second rotational position relative to the spindle coinciding with the unlocked configuration. The blade clamp further includes a sleeve in which the detent is slidably received. The sleeve includes a non-corrosive material for inhibiting corrosion of the detent.
Surgical sagittal blade cartridge with a reinforced guide bar
A surgical sagittal saw cartridge that includes a guide bar formed from an inner plate and opposed outer plates, the inner plate defining a head. The cartridge has a blade that is disposed against the head of the inner plate. The inner plate may comprise an inner tine and/or two opposed outer tines. The inner tine may be formed to define the head against which the blade is disposed. The outer tines may extend distally so as to define a space between the outer tines in which the blade is seated.
