Panel forming
Building panels, especially laminated floor panels are shown, which are provided with a locking system and several core grooves at the rear side in order to save material and decrease weight. Building panels, each having a surface layer on a front side, a backing layer on a rear side and an intermediate core, wherein the intermediate core and the surface and the backing layer all comprise wood fibres and thermosetting resins, said building panels are provided with a locking system for vertical and horizontal locking of a first edge of a first building panel to an adjacent second edge of a second building panel.
Multi-joining system
A template holding jig for holding a template for use with a router for routing a workpiece is provided. The holding jig may also be part of a workpiece joining jig that includes a plurality of templates. The template holding jig includes a template support, a workpiece support and a template guide. The template support defines a template support plane. The workpiece support defines a workpiece support plane extending perpendicular to the template support plane. The template guide defines at least one abutment preventing motion of a template located on the template support parallel to a first axis being parallel to the workpiece support plane and parallel to the template support plane. The at least one abutment permits motion of the template parallel to a second axis being orthogonal to the workpiece support plane and perpendicular to the first axis and parallel to the template support plane.

Stud notching system
A notch cutting system includes a cutter guide that connects to a workpiece and establishes a cutting path for notching the workpiece. A notch cutter with a cylindrical cutting element engages the cutter guide. A rotary driver rotates the cutting element to remove workpiece material as the notch cutter traverses the aperture and the notch cutting system cuts a full-radius notch in the workpiece along the cutting path.

Leak-proof and unbreakable panel comprising a locking element, and method for producing such a panel
A panel comprises a panel body extending in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction, a retaining groove extending in the transverse direction in an end short side of the panel body, and a locking element which is inserted in the retaining groove substantially immovably. For an extension b.sub.0 of the retaining groove in the transverse direction relative to a nominal width B of the panel body between a first edge extending in the longitudinal direction and a second edge of the panel body extending in the longitudinal direction, the following applies: 0.50b.sub.0/B0.97. An unbreakable and leak-proof panel having good and material-friendly locking is made possible by the retaining groove which extends over only a large portion of the short side and by the locking element immovably received in the retaining groove.
SET OF MILLING TOOLS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PANELS
A set of milling tools is for forming profiled edge regions on at least two opposite edges of panels, with a first and a second subset of milling tools. The first subset allows a first type of profiled edge region to be formed. The male coupling part and female coupling part are provided with horizontally acting locking surfaces. A first milling tool from the first subset is configured to form the horizontally acting locking surface of the male coupling part. The second subset allows a second type of profiled edge region to be formed, wherein the male coupling part and female coupling part are provided with horizontally acting locking surfaces. A first milling tool from the second subset is configured to form the horizontally acting locking surface of the male coupling part; and the first milling tools are configured to be mounted on the same drive shaft.
