DRILL BIT, SUCH AS AN AUGER DRILL BIT, AND METHOD THEREFORE
A drill bit includes an elongated shaft having an outer surface forming plural lands and spaces between the lands forming a helical flute; a shank located at a first end of the elongated shaft, the shank configured and arranged to engage the drill bit in a tool; a head located at an opposing end of the elongated shaft from the shank, the head including a first cutting arm and a second cutting arm, the first cutting arm including a first cutting portion having a first leading cutting edge, the second cutting arm including a second cutting portion having a second leading cutting edge; and wherein the first cutting arm includes a first groove extending through the first leading cutting edge and the second arm includes a second groove extending through the second leading cutting, the first and second grooves configured to cause shorter fibers, shavings or chips.
Disposable woodworking tool
A disposable woodworking tool includes a cutter bar and a locking piece, the front end of the cutter bar installed with a cutting head, while the tail end of the cutter bar is installed with a connecting long sleeve. The tail end of the cutter bar includes a tail end installation part fixedly connected with the connecting long sleeve via a locking piece in a detachable manner. The cutter bar includes planes along the length direction extending to the position, where the cutting head is installed, on the front end of the cutter bar, and the locking piece utilizes the principle of a spring collet. In use, instant switching of the angle of the cutting head can occur through switching of planes, without a tool. Rapid replacement of the cutter bar can occur.

Woodturning tool
A tool, system, and method for shaping a wooden workpiece. The system includes a lathe, a toolrest, and a woodturning tool for removing material from the workpiece. The tool includes a handle with a shaft extending longitudinally outwardly therefrom. A cutter is provided on an end of the shaft. The shaft includes a longitudinally-extending bottom surface and a longitudinally-extending side surface. The side surface extends laterally outwardly from the bottom surface and at an obtuse angle relative thereto. Each of the bottom and side surfaces is flat and is separately brought into contact with the toolrest on the lathe to steady the shaft and use the cutter on the workpiece. The orientation of the cutter is changed between a first position and second position depending on which of the bottom surface or side surface contacts the toolrest.

CABLE RAILING SYSTEMS
Various embodiments of cable railing systems are disclosed. Although not limited to these applications, the embodiments are particularly useful in connection with cable railing systems with solid wood support members or with solid concrete support members without weld plates. The embodiments include straight and corner cable termination assemblies that are designed to support a metal cable railing, particularly one that is heavy gauge.
SELF-FEED BIT SYSTEM
A self-feed bit system includes a shank extending along an axis and configured to be coupled to a tool holder of a power tool and a cutting head couplable to the shank and including a sector shaped base. A radially extending lip is at a leading edge of the sector shape facing in a cutting direction and includes a rake face facing the cutting direction at a rake angle relative to the axis. A radially extending cutting blade is coupled to the radially extending lip and extends axially forward from the base at a first height. An at least partially threaded tip is coupled to the shank and extends axially forward of the cutting blade. Two or more teeth are positioned on a perimeter of the base trailing the cutting blade. Each tooth extends axially forward from the base at a second height that is less than the first height.
AUGER
An auger includes a body with a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a stem that extends from the first end to the second end and defines an axis of rotation, and a flute helically wrapped around the stem. The auger further includes a shank at the first end of the body configured to be received by a power tool and a cutting head at the second end of the body. The cutting head includes a cutting edge, a spur, and a feed screw with a thread. The thread has a pitch and a nonsymmetrical thread profile. The pitch of the thread is at least 2.5 mm.

Contour rake face cutting tool
A contoured rake face cutting tool and method of making is disclosed. A rotary cutting tool with a plurality of teeth can cause damage to a work piece during cutting. By orienting the cutting angle of the teeth relative to the rotational central axis to high shear angle such as 50 or 70 degrees, the tool creates a high compression cut which is cleaner and less damaging to the work piece. The cutting surface itself is profiled, i.e. non-planar, such as concave or convex or other non planar shape, which is preferably formed into an ultra-hard material which is supplied for use in a planar form.
