Optimized stump harvester
There is disclosed a system and methods of use for quickly and efficiently excavating, cross-cutting, splitting, and loading or stockpiling tree stumpage and other tree or organic materials, as well as for performing ground cleanup operations. One embodiment provides a stump harvester for attachment to a distal end of an excavator arm. The stump harvester may include front and back jaw assemblies configured to pivot between open and closed positions. The back jaw assembly may include a knife arm having a cutting blade that extends along a majority of a front side of the knife arm. A centerline plane may bisect a cutting edge of the blade. The front jaw assembly may include a planar-aligned dual anvil configured to sheath the cutting edge of the blade when the front and the back jaw assemblies move into the closed position. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Cutting and splitting device
A feed sensor detects location of a wood log to be moved with a feed mechanism in relation to a predetermined point in a device. A control circuit controls a feed mechanism to feed the log for a preset length on the basis of the location of the log detected by the feed sensor. The control circuit controls the cutting mechanism to cut a wood block from a log longer than the predetermined length when the feed mechanism has fed the log for the preset length and a splitting mechanism to split the wood block cut from the log.

WOOD CHOPPER DEVICE FOR CUTTING AND SPLITTING WOOD
Device for cutting and/or splitting wood is disclosed. The device comprises a stationary blade co-operating with a reciprocating blade disposed at a front end of a frame, a rear blade having a splitting edge disposed at a rear end of the frame, a movable unit coupled to the reciprocating blade is configured to move along a linear path disposed on the frame. A drive means coupled to the movable unit moves the movable unit forward for moving the reciprocating blade so that a wood received into an aperture of the blade is cut when the reciprocating blade moves pasts the stationary blade. The drive means moves the movable unit rearward for pushing the wood there along the path towards the rear blade for splitting of wood by splitting edge.

Firewood processors
A firewood processor, comprising a saw, means for feeding wood for the saw, a splitting chute, a splitting wedge arranged to split a log, of which at least part is arranged in the splitting chute, into pieces, a pressure plate arranged to support the log, and means for moving the pressure plate and/or the splitting wedge towards each other in such a way that the log is configured to be split by said movement. In the firewood processor, the splitting wedge is arranged to split the log into an intermediate split log and at least one firewood-ready piece. The firewood processor further comprises a returning element for returning the intermediate split log back to the splitting chute for further splitting and a protector for protecting the user of the firewood processor. The firewood processor is configured to automatically return the intermediate split log, using the returning element, to the splitting chute.

LOG SPLITTER ACTUATION ASSEMBLY
A log splitter is provided. The log splitter includes a housing, a power source, a motor within the housing and electrically coupled to the power source, a support arm coupled to and at least partially within the housing, a rack coupled to at least a portion of the support arm, and an actuation assembly at least partially within the housing and coupled to the motor and the rack. The power source may include at least one battery. The support arm extends between a first end and a second end. The rack is configured to move along the support arm in a forward direction to an extended position adjacent the first end of the support arm and a reverse direction toward to a starting position adjacent the second end of the support arm. The actuation assembly is configured to move the rack at least in the forward direction.
CUTTING DEVICE
A cutting device includes a frame and a counter construction fitted in the frame. The cutting device also includes a force member rotatably supported to the frame and extending in the radial direction up to the counter construction, overlapping in the axial direction relative to the axis of rotation of the force member. In addition, the cutting device includes equipment for rotating the force member and thereby for cutting material in cooperation with the counter construction. The force member includes a profile for taking the material to be cut against the counter construction for cutting the material.
LOG SPLITTER AND METHOD OF USE
A log splitter uses a bucket on an excavator vehicle like an excavator, backhoe, skid steer, tractor, front end loader, etc., having an arm with the bucket rotating relative thereto. A wedge is connected to the arm, and logs may be placed between the wedge and the bucket with the bucket then rotated towards the wedge to split the logs against the wedge. When not in use, the bucket may be used for its normal operation substantially, if not completely, without interference of the wedge.
