Log splitter
A log splitter having an activation lever and a safety lever that defines a pawl configured to engage with a detent associated with the activation lever in an unactivated position so that the activation lever cannot be rotated unless the safety lever is first rotated out of a safety position to remove the pawl from the detent.
Bamboo splitter
A bamboo splitter has an outer support ring with an interior mounted inner ring blade. A plurality of base blades are radially arranged around the inner ring blade and both the inner ring blade and the base blades have v-shaped cutting surfaces. Attached to each base blade is a pair of slat blades that attach to the base blades at a vertex and have a left and right slat blade. The angle between the vertex and the left and right blades is chosen so that adjacent left slat blades are parallel to adjacent right slat blade forming a parallel cutting space which produces bamboo slats that have orthogonal edges which makes them much more amenable to traditional building methods. A different number of slat blades may be used depending on the size of the bamboo being used and the size and number of the slats being produced.

Apparatus for splitting wood into kindling
A specialized wood splitting tool and handle attachment for a striking hand tool. The splitting tool uses leverage in addition to downward momentum of the cutting head to split wood. The metal handle and metal cutting head are preferably formed from a single piece of steel, in a perpendicular configuration similar to an adz. A splitting wedge blade within the handle exerts transverse shear forces to enhance splitting, and flat top surfaces of the cutting head and the handle near the joint provide a striking surface. A particularly advantageous handle extension attachment is disclosed that may be used with other striking hand tools as well as the wood splitting tool. A woodsman's hatchet that provides an additional blade perpendicular to a splitting wedge blade is also disclosed.

POWER EQUIPMENT SHIPPING
Utilities (e.g., apparatuses, systems, methods, etc.) for use in loading power equipment such as log splitting apparatuses onto cargo trailers or the like in manners that increase the number of assembled log splitting apparatuses that can be loaded onto the cargo trailers (or otherwise result in more efficient loading of assembled log splitting apparatuses onto the cargo trailers) while facilitating assembled presentation of the log splitting apparatuses after unloading from the cargo trailer.

Chopping aid device
A chopping aid device for use in chopping of firewood prevents pieces of wood from spreading into the surroundings outside the chopping aid device during chopping. The chopping aid device includes a basket-like cuff frame for chopped wood. In order to make the chopping aid device durable against mishits and to prevent the blade of the axe from becoming blunt in case of mishits by the axe, the cuff frame is made of an elastomeric material providing dampening characteristics against impacts and an upper edge of the cuff frame is covered with a collar made of a harder material than the cuff frame and providing protection of the cuff frame against cuts. A method for manufacturing a chopping aid device is also provided.
