Coating compositions for oriented strand boards and associated methods of use
Wax compositions are provided with improved properties for various applications, such as coating of composite cellulosic materials, e.g., composite wood material, more specifically oriented strand board. As described herein, wax compositions include a kinematic viscosity measured at 100° C. of ≤13.1 mm.sup.2/s; and a contact angle on glass of ≤34.4°, which provide enhanced water proofing properties. The wax composition may have a flash point of greater than 450° F. Wax composition are provided with improved properties for candle jars. As described herein, candle jar wax compositions include 150N foots oil and 600N slack wax. The wax composition can include up to about 80% 150N foots oil.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A BUILDING PANEL AND A BUILDING PANEL
A method of manufacturing a building panel. The method includes applying a first binder and free lignocellulosic or cellulosic particles on a first surface of a carrier for forming a first layer, applying a second binder and free lignocellulosic or cellulosic particles on the first layer for forming a second layer, wherein the first binder is different from the second binder, and applying heat and pressure to the first and second layers to form a building panel. Also, such a building panel.
Stackable molded articles, and related assemblies and methods
Molded articles are provided. An exemplary molded article includes an inner panel portion, a main body portion, and a contoured portion extending between and interconnecting the inner panel portion and the main body portion so as to surround the inner panel portion and be surrounded by the main body portion. The contoured portion includes contoured corner segments and contoured elongated segments extending between respective pairs of the contoured corner segments. The contoured corner segments have a first maximum thickness. The contoured elongated segments have a second maximum thickness that is greater than the first maximum thickness. Related methods, assemblies, and apparatus are also provided.

Method and device for narrow surface coating
The invention relates to a method for edge coating on work pieces, comprising the following steps: inducing a relative movement between a work piece (W) and an application unit (10), which application unit (10) is provided for applying a mass; setting an application region for applying the mass, in particular in accordance with the width of the edge of a work piece to be provided with the mass; applying the mass to an edge of the work piece (W) to form a three-dimensional body. Said work pieces can be, in particular elements or parts from the furniture or components industry.

Manufactured wood products and methods of production
A process of producing a manufactured wood product comprises providing a plurality of wood pieces having substantially an equilibrium moisture content; contacting the plurality of wood pieces with one or more additives under conditions for the additive(s) to soak into the wood pieces; applying a thermoplastic adhesive comprising a thermoplastic resin and a crosslinking agent to the wood pieces to form adhesive coated wood pieces; optionally heating the adhesive coated wood pieces to form heated adhesive coated wood pieces; assembling the adhesive coated wood pieces in a desirable configuration to form assembled adhesive coated wood pieces; compressing the assembled adhesive coated wood pieces in a press at a pressure and for a time sufficient to compact and compress the assembled wood pieces to force trapped air out of and mechanically deform the assembled adhesive coated wood pieces so that adjacent wood pieces conform to the shape of one another; crosslinking the thermoplastic adhesive to at least a critical crosslinking amount during the compression step to form an at least partially cured manufactured wood product, wherein the critical crosslinking amount is sufficient such that the at least partially cured manufactured wood product substantially maintains its compressed form and prevents the wood pieces expanding and returning to their initial state upon release of pressure in the compression step; removing the at least partially cured manufactured wood product from the press; and optionally, further curing the partially cured manufactured wood product to provide the manufactured wood product having substantially an equilibrium moisture content.
Method to produce a veneered element
A method to produce a veneered element, the method including applying a first layer on a substrate, applying a second layer on a veneer layer, applying the veneer layer with the second layer applied thereto on the first layer, such that the second layer is facing the first layer, pressing the first layer, the second layer and the veneer layer together to form a veneered element, thereby material originating from the second layer permeates into the veneer layer, and wherein, after pressing, the first layer is visible through a crack, cavity, hole and/or knot of the veneer layer. Also, a veneered element.
FLOOR PANEL
A floor panel has a rectangular and oblong shape, and includes a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate and forming a decorative side of the floor panel. The top layer is composed of a print provided on a carrier sheet and a transparent thermoplastic layer situated above the print. The substrate has a thickness from 2 to 10 millimeter and forms at least half of the thickness of the floor panel. The substrate is a polyurethane-based substrate and the transparent thermoplastic layer is polyurethane-based. The floor panel has a length of more than 1.1 meters and has a plurality of reinforcing layers situated outside the center line of the substrate. A reinforcing layer may be provided in combination with the substrate and the top layer.
