METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION BLOCKS FOR A WIND-TURBINE TOWER AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEM
The invention has for object a method for manufacturing concrete construction blocks (6) for a wind-generator tower made up of at least two consecutive blocks secured to one another by a contact surface of each of the two blocks, the manufacturing method comprising the following steps: pouring concrete into a first cage of reinforcements (10-1) so as to obtain the first concrete construction block comprising a first contact surface (9), and pouring concrete into a second cage of reinforcements (10-2) so as to obtain the second concrete construction block, the second cage of reinforcements being provided in a form (21) arranged such that the first contact surface (9) of the first block (6-1) makes up a wall for delimiting (26) the pouring of the concrete such as to form a contact surface (9) of the second block (6-2).
Crucible and extrinsic facecoat compositions and methods for melting titanium and titanium aluminide alloys
Crucible compositions and methods of using the crucible compositions to melt titanium and titanium alloys. More specifically, crucible compositions having extrinsic facecoats comprising a rare earth oxide that are effective for melting titanium and titanium alloys for use in casting titanium-containing articles. Further embodiments are titanium-containing articles made from the titanium and titanium alloys melted in the crucible compositions. Another embodiment is a crucible curing device and methods of use thereof.
Modular building construction arrangement
This invention relates to modular building construction apparatus and in particular to a mold having movable framework used to construct a basic building module where any miss-alignment at the junction of framework elements is enough to make the imperfection noticeable. If the imperfection is a ridge it will be readily apparent on the inside surface of the formed building module and it will not be disguised by painting over it. What is disclosed is a movable corner arrangement for a mold for forming at least one of the inner corner surfaces of a moldable building module. The inner mold for a moldable building module has an upper support panel for forming the ceiling surface of the building module and a plurality of movable side walls that depend from the upper support panel using flexible peripheral edge elements. The side walls have mold facing side wall surfaces movable to a position to form corresponding internal wall surfaces of the moldable building module. The movable side walls are movable inwards and away from their respective formed internal wall surfaces to release the formed building module from the inner mold. A movable corner arrangement is used to form the internal corners of the moldable building module located between adjacent movable side walls. The movable corner arrangement includes a corner post having at least one side wall abutment surface; a corner post support coupling adapted to adjust the vertical and sideways position of, and verticality of the corner post with respect to the desired position of adjacent movable side walls such that the mold facing surface of the corner post is flush with the mold facing surface of respective adjacent movable side walls during the molding process.
Prefabricated mold for constructing curbs
A prefabricated form for use in constructing a casting cured concrete curb having a plurality of engaging pieces in which adjacent engaging pieces are abutted. Each of the engaging pieces has a fixing rod insertion hole formed therein. A plurality of spacer insertion holes are formed longitudinally and aligned respectively with the fixing rod insertion holes. The plurality of plate-shaped lower spacers are received respectively of the plurality of spacer insertion holes. Fixing rods are respectively inserted into the fixing rod insertion hole so as to engage the plate-shaped lower spacers. A plurality of upper spacers are engaged with the upper ends of the fixing rods so as to fix the engaging pieces in spaced relation to each other.
FORMWORK FOR PERFORMING HORIZONTAL CASTINGS FOR THE PROVISION OF FLOORS
A formwork for performing horizontal castings for the provision of floors, of the type comprising a series of props, and supporting heads to be arranged on the props for the resting of panels designed to form a surface for a concrete casting, each panel comprising at least two longitudinal profiles, for resting on the supporting heads; each one of the longitudinal profiles comprises a central body, a first longitudinal part, for the fixing of the transverse elements, and an opposite second longitudinal part, each one of the supporting heads comprises a plate-like base from which there extends at least one lateral shoulder for the resting of the central body of a longitudinal profile in an intermediate configuration for assembly or disassembly, and a central protrusion, which protrudes from the same side as the lateral shoulders.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING PREFABRICATED BUILDING PANELS
A system, comprising: at least one planar member having a two- or three-dimensional surface pattern formed thereon or therein; and a plurality of resilient spacers removably positionable on or in the surface pattern to form a surface relief pattern of spaced-apart recesses on the at least one planar member.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCTION OF PRECISION PRECAST CONCRETE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS
An apparatus and method for precision forming a precast concrete flight of stairs is disclosed and where precision cut form components provide plural tread supports, plural sideboards, plural tread/riser combinations and a center tread support that upon assembly, the form components, automatically square and align treads and risers with upper and lower landings for installation to provide access between vertically spaced apart floors of a structure.
HEAT STORAGE DEVICES AND CIRCUITS FOR SOLAR STEAM GENERATION, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Heat storage devices and circuits suitable for storing solar energy, and associated systems and methods are disclosed. Representative systems can include a solar energy collection system having a first solar field coupled between a first working fluid source and a target heat user via first fluid network, at least one heat storage device, and a second solar field coupled to the at least one heat storage device via a second fluid network. The second fluid network carries a second working fluid and is isolated from fluid communication with the first fluid network. At least one heat exchanger is coupled to the first and second fluid networks to provide thermal communication between the first and second fluid networks.
Cement forms having pin connected form sections
A form for curable construction materials, comprising an elongated, substantially planar wall having a selected thickness, the wall having inner and outer surfaces, a flange region extending from the wall, the flange region having a flange substantially running the length of the wall, wherein a bore substantially running the length of the wall is formed adjacent the wall and the flange, the flange region further having first and second angled surfaces extending therefrom, wherein a channel extending to the bore is formed between the first and second angled surfaces, wherein one form may be assembled with other forms using pins inserted into respective bores to create a containment system for construction materials.
FORMLINERS AND METHODS OF USE
Features for formliners to form a decorative pattern in a curable material and methods of using the same are disclosed. An improved formliner is disclosed with seamlessly connecting components that reduces the need for using adhesives for interconnecting a plurality of formliners in a pattern. Further, the formliner is configured to reduce and/or substantially eliminate visible seams in order to create a more natural appearance in a finished product of the curable material.
