Method of making super-hard articles
This application describes a method of making a super-hard article that includes a super-hard structure bonded to a substrate. The super-hard structure generally includes a sintered plurality of super-hard grains made from cubic boron nitride. The method generally includes providing raw material powder suitable for sintering the super-hard structure; combining the raw material powder with an organic binder material in a liquid medium to form a paste; providing a substrate assembly having a formation surface area configured for forming a boundary of the super-hard structure, the substrate having a recess coterminous with the formation surface area; extruding the paste into contact with the formation surface area to provide a paste assembly; and heat treating and/or sintering the paste assembly to remove the binder material and provide a pre-sinter assembly.

DEGRADABLE CARBIDE GRIP
An apparatus can include a degradable matrix that is degradable in an aqueous environment; and non-degradable particles disposed at least in part within the matrix where the non-degradable particles are not degradable in the aqueous environment where the non-degradable particles can include tungsten carbide.
Method for injecting a loaded slurry into a fibrous texture
A method for manufacturing a part made of composite material includes injecting into a fibrous texture a slurry including at least one powder of refractory ceramic particles suspended in a liquid phase, filtering the liquid phase of the slurry and retaining the powder of refractory ceramic particles inside the texture so as to obtain a fibrous preform loaded with refractory ceramic particles, densifying the fibrous texture by treatment of the refractory ceramic particles present in the fibrous texture in order to form a refractory matrix in the texture. The method further includes, before injecting the slurry under pressure, pre-saturating the fibrous texture with a carrier fluid consisting in injecting into said texture a carrier fluid.

Methods of utilizing coal combustion residuals and structures constructed using such coal combustion residuals
A process of fabricating a static structure including an interior volume that includes the steps of mixing coal combustible residual (CCR) with structural reinforcing materials to form a construction material and utilizing the construction material to fabricate exterior enclosure-forming components of the static structure. The enclosure-forming components are sufficiently reinforced, enhanced and/or thick to provide protection against exterior forces directed against the structure.
Green aircraft interior panels
The present invention relates to sandwich panels used as aircraft interior parts. In addition to provide a finishing function, the sandwich panels need to have certain mechanical properties and have sufficient fire resistance to retard the spread of fire within the vehicle interior. The present invention provides an aircraft interior panel with skins comprising natural fiber reinforced composites based either on an inorganic thermoset resin or a thermoplastic resin. Such panels provide the required flame and heat resistance, allow easy recycling and disposal, are cheaper and offer significant weight savings over conventional sandwich panels.

Method for Fabricating a Composite Construction Element
The present invention relates to a method for fabricating a composite construction element using a mould fabricated by a computer-controlled apparatus. The method comprises the steps of fabricating the mould having one or more receiving portions dimensioned to receive one or more respective objects responsive to computer instructions relating to the mould geometry, positioning the one or more objects in respective receiving portions, covering at least a portion of the mould and the one or more objects with settable material, and at least partially curing the settable material, thereby forming the composite construction element having the one or more objects embedded therein.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHTWEIGHT CEMENT AND GYPSUM BOARD
A method and device for producing lightweight panels with a core of gypsum or of cement and gypsum, with pores for decreasing volumetric weight, and with a covering made of cardboard or of a sheet of glass fibers. The production line does not change except for the addition of a device which forms closed hollow cavities within a suspension in an area where an upper sheet covers the suspension. Air pressure which is fed into the formed cavities is slightly higher than the hydraulic pressure of the suspension, so as to prevent the gaps being filled by the suspension. The layers are less thick, and the type and dimensions of the cavities and the thickness of the walls are varied depending on the desired qualities of the panels.
