METHOD FOR PRODUCING PULP FIBERS FOR CELLULOSE NANOFIBERIZATION, AND PULP FIBERS FOR CELLULOSE NANOFIBERIZATION
20230160142 · 2023-05-25 ·

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method which is for producing pulp fibers for cellulose nanofiberization from pulp fibers of used sanitary products, and which can produce pulp fibers for cellulose nanofiberization that have low lignin content and a low distribution thereof and that have excellent cellulose nanofiberization properties. This method is described below. The method is characterized by involving: a step for supplying, from a mixed solution supply port (32) to a treatment tank (31), a mixed solution (51) which contains superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers derived from used sanitary products; a step for supplying an ozone-containing gas (53) from an ozone-containing gas supply port (43) to a treatment solution (52) inside of the treatment tank (31); a step in which, by raising the ozone-containing gas (53) while lowering the superabsorbent polymers and pulp fibers in the treatment tank (31), the ozone-containing gas (53) is brought into contact with the superabsorbent polymers and the pulp fibers, and pulp fibers for cellulose nanofiberization are formed from the pulp fibers; and a step for discharging the treatment solution (52) from a treatment solution discharge port (33), wherein the pulp fibers for cellulose nanofiberization have a lignin content of less than or equal to 0.1 mass %.

CYLINDER HEATING DEVICE OF CONDUIT FORMING SYSTEM USING WASTE SYNTHETIC RESIN

Disclosed is a cylinder heating device of a conduit forming system using waste synthetic resin, in which a pipe type unit heater is used rather than a bend type heater to prevent heat loss during heat transfer to a cylinder so that waste synthetic resin in the first and second space parts in the cylinder is melted within a short time as well as the quality of a formed conduit is improved.

A plastic composition consisting essentially of plastic matter, inorganic matter, and organic matter. The plastic composition has a notched izod impact above 12 J/m, a surface energy of at least 40 dyne/cm and, and when the plastic composition is subjected to injection molding, at least one of a tensile strength of above about 2.7 MPa, a tensile modulus of above about 600 MPa, a flexural modulus above about 690 MPa, a flexural strength above about 5.6 MPa, and a Charpy Impact above about 1.5 KJ/m2.

Waste processing

The present invention relates generally to the field of waste processing. The method comprises separating waste into at least two parts, comprising: (i) mainly food waste (fines) and (ii) mainly paper and other recyclable material (overs). The overs are pulped and washed to obtain a cellulose-rich biomass and the fines are optionally processed separately to recover a cellulose-rich biomass and the cellulose-rich biomass from both the fines and the overs may be combined.

METHOD FOR OBTAINING SUPERABSORBENT POLYMERS VIA ALKALINE HYDROLYSIS WITH PRESSURIZED WATER VAPOUR, USING POLYACRYLONITRILE AND ACRYLIC FIBRES AND FABRICS
20230108608 · 2023-04-06 ·

A method for producing superabsorbent polymers from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) virgin or recycled from acrylic fibre manufacturing waste and discarded fabrics subjecting the PAN to alkaline hydrolysis with pressurized water vapour of up to 5 kgf/cm.sup.2 and a PAN:OH.sup.− molar ratio of 1:0.5 to 0.95, to obtain a cross-linked poly(acrylic acid-co-acrylamide) salt without using mechanical agitation, graphitizing agents with starch or cross-linking agents, and without precipitating the superabsorbent polymer obtained from the reaction medium with solvents or through pH adjustment with acids, the polymer obtained with recycled PAN leaves the autoclave already having a moisture content of 20% to 35% and a swelling capacity of >150 g H.sub.2O/g.

PROCESSING PETROLEUM-DERIVED MATERIALS
20230150873 · 2023-05-18 ·

A method, comprising contacting a plurality of petroleum-derived materials, optionally that comprise plastic in the form of a seal, wire or cable jacket, floor covering, filter, vehicle part, or any combination thereof, with a lipid composition comprising fatty acid moieties to produce an agglomerate, wherein from about 9 wt % to about 40 wt % of the fatty acid moieties are saturated, and wherein at least about 0.5 wt % of the fatty acid moieties are monounsaturated. Further, an apparatus for producing an extrudate from petroleum-derived materials is comprising: (a) a pre-extrusion mixer for contacting a plurality of petroleum-derived materials with a lipid composition comprising fatty acid moieties and a filler to produce a composite, having one or more inlets for receiving the petroleum-derived materials, the lipid composition, and the filler, and an outlet for discharging the composite; and (b) an extruder in fluid communication with the outlet of the pre-extrusion mixer.
