Fibre-laying machine and method for producing laid fibre scrims

A fiber laying machine for producing laid fiber scrims has a tool table for positioning a mold, said tool table being linearly displaceable in an x direction by means of an x carriage and being pivotable about a vertical pivot axis. Arranged above the tool table is a fiber laying head which is linearly displaceable transversely to the x direction by means of a y carriage. Since the fiber laying head is linearly displaceable, the arrangement of the tool table on the machine frame is comparatively easy, and so laid fiber scrims are producible quickly and efficiently. In particular, automatic loading and unloading of the tool table is easily possible.

Extrusion press systems and methods

One or more hollow billets are loaded onto an elongate mandrel bar for extrusion. The billets are transported along the mandrel bar to a rotating die. The billets are transported through fluid clamps, which engage the mandrel bar and provide cooling fluid to the mandrel bar tip, and through mandrel grips, which engage the mandrel bar and prevent the mandrel bar from rotating. One or more press-rams advance the billets through a centering insert and into the rotating die. A quench assembly is provided at an extrusion end of the extrusion press to quench the extruded material. A programmable logic controller may be provided to control, at least in part, operations of the extrusion press system.

Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a fiber composite member. The method involves the step of producing a fiber layer by depositing at least two fiber webs in a plane adjacent to each other and along a circular guiding arc. The fiber webs are deposited on curved deposition paths that intersect the circular guiding arc with the same predetermined angle, and are formed in the form of portions of circular involutes.

Method Of Producing An Optical Member, Jig, Alignment Apparatus, And Packing Apparatus

An information processing apparatus includes a presentation processing unit. The presentation processing unit executes, when a specific sound is generated at another point other than one of a plurality of points, presentation processing for presentation indicating that the specific sound generated at the other point is not a sound generated at the one point. Each of the plurality of points has a telepresence apparatus constituting a telepresence system that performs bidirectional communication of images and sounds for communication between users located at the plurality of points.

Relating to wind turbine blade manufacture
11433632 · 2022-09-06 · ·

A method of making a wind turbine blade is described. The blade comprises first (12) and second (14) half shells bonded together and a shear web (16) bonded inside the shells. Prior to joining the shells together, the shear web is positioned in one of the shells. A plurality of bars (70) are attached to the shear web and engaged with a plurality of mounts (80) in order to support and stabilise the shear web relative to that shell. The shells are then arranged one above the other whilst the bars remain attached to the shear web. The bars continue to support the shear web whilst the shear web is aligned with the other shell. The bars are then detached from the shear web and the shells are brought together to bond the shells to each other and to bond the shear web between the shells.
