CURABLE CASTING COMPOUND, MOLDED BODY MADE THEREFROM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE MOLDED BODY
A curable casting compound, including a polymeric binder and at least one particulate filler incorporated therein, wherein the filler is ground fruit kernels and/or fruit shells, wherein either only the at least one filler composed of ground fruit kernels and/or fruit shells or additionally at least one further particulate inorganic filler is present.
Solid Surface Material
A solid surface material apparatus and process is disclosed which comprises a first solid material comprising acrylic modified polyester resin, at least one natural mineral filler, and at least one colorant and/or at least one granule configured in a sheet with at least one channel cut into the top surface of it and a second solid surface material comprising an acrylic modified polyester resin, at least one natural mineral filler, and at least one colorant and/or at least one granule which at least partially fills the at least one channel of the first solid surface material.
NOVEL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR BONE GRAFTS AND FUSIONS
The present invention pertains to novel bone graft substitute materials. These materials are porous, homogenously dispersed solid mixtures of calcium phosphate and pro-regenerative extracellular matrix (ECM)—and potentially any pharmaceutical agent and/or mineral—that have been infused with polydopamine. In some embodiments the bone graft materials have osteoinductive factors incorporated within them.
Extruded molds and methods for manufacturing composite truck panels
Extruded molds and methods for manufacturing composite structures using the extruded molds are disclosed. The molds may include recessed or raised longitudinal features to impart a corresponding shape to the molded composite structures. The composite structures may be panels used to construct cargo vehicles, for example.
CONDUCTIVE AND FLEXIBLE SANDWICH-STRUCTURED COMPOSITES
Interconnects may comprise a sandwich-structured composite comprising a core layer located between two thermosetting polymer layers. The core layer may comprise 80 wt % to 95 wt % conductive metal and a polymer. The conductive metal may comprise silver (Ag). The polymer may comprise polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). Interconnects may be particularly suited for use in electronic devices, such as a flexible batteries and wearable electronic devices.
Custom-made artificial nipple
An artificial nipple is formed of an elastomeric polymer by use of 3D printing after imaging of a mother's breast in an active state of lactation. The artificial nipple used as an attachment to a baby bottle or as the nipple component of a pacifier. Use of an artificial nipple formed in this manner mitigates a problem with nipple confusion, as may otherwise manifest in newborn offspring.
Polymeric cutting edge structures and method of manufacturing polymeric cutting edge structures
A functional polymeric cutting edge structure and methods for manufacturing cutting edge structures using polymeric materials are provided. A razor blade for use in a razor cartridge or a blade box for assembly in a razor cartridge frame may be formed using the present invention.
Super Absorbent Polymer Film and Preparation Method Thereof
The present disclosure relates to a super absorbent polymer film and a preparation method of the same. Specifically, it relates to a new type of super absorbent polymer film, which is thin and exhibits excellent absorption performance and high tensile strength. In addition, the super absorbent polymer film of the present disclosure is free from scattering or leaking, and does not require an auxiliary substance such as pulp, so that products can be made thinner and the manufacturing process and costs may be reduced.
Method for micromolding a polymeric membrane having a pore array
A method for micro-molding a polymeric membrane and including pouring a predetermined volume of curable polymer unto a micro-fabricated mold having a post array with pillars, and overlaying the polymer with a support substrate. A spacer, such as a rubber spacer, is placed in contact with the support substrate and a force is applied to an exposed side of the spacer to compress the support substrate and the polymer together. While applying the force, the polymer is cured on the mold for a predetermined time period and at a predetermined temperature to form a polymeric membrane having a pore array with a plurality of pores corresponding to the plurality of pillars of the post array. The polymeric membrane is removed from the support substrate.
A METHOD FOR PRODUCING JEWELRY FROM HUMAN MILK AND AN EPOXY RESIN
A method for producing jewelry from human milk and an epoxy resin involving mixing human milk with a transparent epoxy resin, placing it in the mold and allowing it to harden, in which an epoxy resin and an amine hardener are used, wherein a quantity of cysteine and/or serine equal to at least 0.1 percent by weight of the milk is first added to human milk and the resulting mixture is introduced into the mixture of an epoxy resin with an amine hardener in an amount between 0.1 percent and 40 percent by volume of the mixture of an epoxy resin and a hardener.
