Method of producing a composite material including three-dimensional (3D) graphene
A method for continuously producing a composite material is disclosed. In some implementations, the method includes supplying a thermoplastic resin having an initial density, mixing polypropylene-graft-maleic anhydride (PPgMA) formed of a plurality of interconnected PPgMA molecules throughout the thermoplastic resin, distributing a plurality of carbon particles throughout the thermoplastic resin and the plurality of interconnected PPgMA molecules, and forming, by rotational molding, the composite material based on a combination of the thermoplastic resin, the PPgMA, and at least some of the plurality of carbon particles.
PIEZOELECTRIC BIO-ORGANIC FILMS AND FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides piezoelectric bio-organic films resembling ceramic-based piezoelectric films, and also a fabrication method thereof. In particular, the bio-organic piezoelectric films are formed by compact nanocrystals resembling the inorganic ceramic structure, where nanocrystallization on biomaterials and in-situ electric field are applied to facilitate domain orientation alignment across the entire films. The present fabrication method provides flexibility to tune various parameters of the resulting bio-organic films according to the needs, and therefore is substantially applicable to a wide range of biomaterials to form piezoelectric bio-organic films comparable to those formed by conventional piezoceramics in terms of piezoelectricity, thermostability and durability.
Method for Making Foamed Shoe Material
A method for making foamed shoe materials includes mixing r-PET and EVA with a compatibilizer for melt modification, a new polymer alloy is formed. The polymer alloy is then extruded into strips with an screw extruder under a temperature of 160° C. to 245° C. and an average shear rate of 100/sec to 300/sec, and at an extrusion rate of 100 kg/hr to 250 kg/hr. Simultaneously, the temperature of the screw in the extrusion process is controlled to rise from 160° C. to 245° C., then decrease to less than 240° C., so as to produce composite material masterbatches with good compatibility between recycled PET and EVA, which are used to produce foamed shoe materials, thus achieving the purpose of reusing recycled PET, reducing carbon emissions, and protecting the environment. Furthermore, it reduces the demand for fresh PET materials, thereby reducing the demand for petrochemical raw materials.

Efficient method for preparing highly-directional highly-dense two-dimensional material film
An efficient method for preparing a highly-directional highly-dense two-dimensional material film. The method comprises: using a circular tube with a smooth inner surface as a casting mold; and pouring a solution containing a two-dimensional material into the mold when the mold rotates at high speed in a circumferential direction, wherein the solution is uniformly coated on the inner surface of the mold by centrifugal force, the centrifugal rotation generating a shearing force that causes the two-dimensional material to be directionally and regularly arranged layer upon layer in a circumferential direction in the solution, and, the centrifugal force facilitates highly-dense accumulation of the two-dimensional material, thereby obtaining a highly-directional highly-dense two-dimensional material film. The method is applicable in the preparation of a variety of two-dimensional materials such as graphene, a composite material film thereof, and a laminated heterostructure film, and greatly improves electrical, thermal, and mechanical properties of a film.
Colorless transparent copolyamide-imide films with high modulus and low coefficient of thermal expansion and preparation thereof
A method of preparing a colorless transparent copolyamide-imide resin solution and its fabrication as a thin film has been disclosed. The method details formulations derived from a reaction between one or more units of dianhydride and one or more units of diamine monomers with one or more of the monomers containing fluorine atoms in their structural unit. It enables the fabrication of thin films with superior thermal and mechanical properties along with co-efficient of thermal expansion values as low as 2 ppm/° C. and a tensile modulus as high as 9 GPa. The transparent copolyamide-imide film thus prepared has the potential for utilization in flexible displays such as substrates for thin film transistors (TFT), touch sensor panels (TSP) and cover window in organic light emitting diode (OLED) and liquid crystal display (LCD) applications.

The present invention relates to a method of preparing reduced graphene oxide, incorporation of the reduced graphene oxide into polyisoprene latex to provide a polyisoprene latex graphene composite and elastomeric articles prepared using the polyisoprene latex-graphene composite. In particular, the reduction of graphene oxide is accomplished without the use of strong reducing agents and organic solvents and incorporation of the reduced graphene oxide into polyisoprene latex is accomplished using room temperature latex mixing method or hot maturation. The resultant composite exhibits good colloid stability and polyisoprene latex films produced from the composite exhibit good mechanical properties with improved ageing resistance.
